Daily writ reward nerf?

Hello people,

question: do you get fewer surveys as reward for your daily crafting writs?
I feel like I got 1-3 before on every character per day and now I often get none. Was this a stealth nerf?
I asked a couple of guildies and they seem to get fewer too.
Your thoughts?

Feels like I get fewer for awhile now.

Nerf to rate of wealth accumulation perhaps.

During the last few years the survey rate was very inconsistent. It was possible to open 7 boxes of one type (I open boxes once a week) and get up to 5 surveys, it was possible to get no surveys from the same 7 boxes. Right now it is the same.

It is likely that you are simply on another side of the RNG bell right now.

I've never had more than two per character. I thought that must be the maximum.

I noticed that recipes from provisioning seemed to disappear for a while recently.

They still appear to be at about a 1 in 8 chance of dropping.

This means that getting none (of the 6 you can get) is the most likely outcome. But I've gotten 5 on one character before.

I've been tracking data for over 2 years now from each patch on drop rates... it's been quite consistent (just subject to normal variability of random events)

This links to the fairly small sample size from just Flames of Ambition, but there are tabs at the bottom for every other patch back to Wrathstone (and then combined data from before that)

i haven't seen a difference. after patch i craft on 5 of my characters, but still have one day that i get multiple surveys on all of them and at the other days it is between 0 to 1 or 2 surveys from all 5 that craft, recipes i was never getting every day from all.

It feels the same to me. Feels like same random as always.

I usually get one writ and one survey, usually from different reward bags, per day. Sometimes I get nothing, but sometimes I get a few.

Yep. I'm only crafting on 5 characters right now (saving myself for Jubilee - when I will wear myself to the bone crafting on as many as I can stand for as many days as I can stand) and I usually get about one survey and one master writ on a couple of them. But I've gone a couple days a few times lately with neither showing on anyone - which actually isn't new, it's been that way ever since I started playing.

The odd thing is, when I do craft on someone other than a 50, I almost always get 2 or 3 surveys - but it's really not worth it do it very often, UNLESS it's Jubilee.

It’s all a matter of perception with surveys.

Master writs however are directly tied with achievements/research. I conducted two 10 week long tracks of 18 of my characters doing master writs. Several were grand master crafters, the rest all master crafters with one not and still researching. The differences being really motif knowledge.

I averaged 6 to 8 master writs on the grand masters per week with 1 to 3 on the lesser researched characters.

My second test a few months later had an increase of up to 8 - 11 for grand masters (more motifs learned from new DLCs).

It should be noted that while you can get a ton of master writs the general lack of most players motif knowledge make them unable to complete them.

Back when I did max level writs on 8 toons a day and always opened 9 days worth of reward boxes at a time I figured out I was getting just under one survey a day per character. That was 6 months to a year ago.

I only do the on two toons a day now but it seems about the same drop rate.

Can't say I noticed less or more, there are days i get several on my crafters, and days I get none

I get around the same amount as always,some days more other days less.
