Why don't people kick fake healers but will kick fake tanks?

Because any experienced DPS will slot for self healing when PUGing because, well, you can't rely on PUG healers often times. Personally, I run Pale Order on my DPS when going in with a PUG. So lack of healing doesn't kill me; a dead tank on a boss fight does, however.

And THIS is why, as a real healer who pugs, I hate that @*#^@*@ ring. There are no mythic items I can wear to make YOUR dps not register or a tank's taunts ineffective. Horrible game design for any kind of teamwork. That ring should stop working anytime one is grouped.

I do not use Pale Order in groups where I know and trust the healer, or in groups attempting harder content (DLC vet hm for example). However, even in pugs, healers are still needed for resources and buffs (like SPC). Also, in most easier content (non DLC vet or DLC normal), healers are better off doing damage, rather than full time healing. For the easier content, healers generally aren't really even needed.

A good healer buffs your damage and provides you resources. Your Pale Order rings don't do that. Think twice before kicking a geared out healer. We are still very relevant, our ability to provide support to the group will never be truly obsolete.

Healer buffs add less to group overall dps than 3rd dps would.

    Bad design then... @ZOS_BrianWheeler

I am not concerned about fake healers because once I recognize I'm not being healed I switch to self heals. I am concerned about tanks because the more time I spend running away from the boss the less time I have to DPS and the more likely I am to be killed.

Or, indeed, running after the boss...

A fake healer means you slot a different skill or pale order ring, at most. A fake tank means your entire playstyle has to change.

Healers are just equal to one skill?

In a pug, yes. Good healers are great but a lot of pug healers only heal and that's about it. So those players can be replaced with a self heal tbh

Whoooo. That is a hard truth there.

It was already like that in the last patch. And I was hoping, with the nerfs to mitigation, that the healers will regain importance.
But honestly it just is "same ol', same ol'"!

Relevence of healers is only there in Veteran HM content. That is why I think that REAL healers are not seen in normal content.

I mean everybody likes to be appreciated, right? If I only get hate from DDs for not buffing them like they want, I leave. It is that simple.
Healing is a vet HM thing now. At least to me...😉

To answer the OP'S question, I think part of it is that it is harder to define a fake healer (because there are so many hybrid roles that are legitimately helpful for support) while fake tanks are easy to define and spot... not taunting, low health, can't take a hit. You can feel a fake tank almost immediately where it can take a little longer to spot the fake healer, especially if the fake healer is magicka, because they SHOULD be helping with DPS when support is all set.

Yeah a whole lot of people on this thread doesn't seem to know what a healer actually does in this game. Maybe because the name is a bit of a misnomer. Healers in ESO aren't pure healers, they're buffers, debuffers and group sustain aid among other things. Healer roleis probably the most complicated and versatile if you want to do it well, because you have to adapt to what this specific group needs in this specific situation.

I mean if all you do is slap down some heals and keep your group alive is the equivalent of a "tank" slotting a taunt and keeping the boss still, which is to say the absolute bare minimum.

It could be because the vast majority of players would rather finish a Dungeon than listen to "Fake tank!!!" "Fake healer!!!" Every three seconds from the Stamblade in light armor with a level 1 crafted staff.

I was a real healer and got kicked instead of my CP 300 DPS friend I was grouped with who the whole time was worried they were not dealing enough damage. Still to this day I don't know why. :disappointed:

Um... you might want to have a talk with your "friend" there... Assuming this was a vote kick, that means your friend also voted to kick you... :D

    What's the difference?

Healer are useless on 90% of this game.
Mostly why I barely play this game anymore.
As soon as you and your team become good you realize you'll do better with a 3rd DD in most case.

I only vote to kick people who aren't participating. Always behind, always playing in their inventory, doesn't start attacking the boss until he is at 50% health, etc. I don't mind players who are bad at dungeons, but players who put no effort into doing their role get the boot.

I was kicked yesterday as I queued as a healer on my magblade, doesn't bother me. But truth is 9/10 if I'm doing my daily normal random for transmute and exp I just want a quick queue and result. I can solo almost every normal dungeon and we know that tanks are much more preferred to healers, I do feel bad for low level players who are perhaps doing the content for the first time and stuff. I kinda feel like the system is just a little bit flawed.
Most days I queue with my friend who is a tank. If I queue as a dps we can wait for upwards of 20 mins. If I switch roles, he tanks and I just burn everything and the queue pops within 20 seconds. It sucks but is the way it is.
