    Every single node in PoE is useful and the game is built around the tree. It's not an afterthought tacked on at the end to waste your time - it's an integral part of the experience.

    I play PoE, so I’m not trying to insult it. But...

    The OP complained about complicated, not waste. He wanted things simple. And if there is one thing PoE is not, it’s simple. And I’m not restraining that statement to the skill tree.

    If you play PoE then I can’t imagine you disagree with that.

    I think its quite simple, look at all the slottable stars in one tree pick your favorite 4 by spending the minimum you need to, to get there then fill out the passives in priority order until you have none left

    It’s not that complex, just allocate as much CP into the stars that you actually slot and use the remaining CP on the passives that buff your stats etc. Also try to minimise putting points into stuff that you don’t need.

    Two things I think would improve the CP trees a lot:

    1. The green tree should be mostly passives. Only combat related abilities should be slottable/active. The rest should be passive. We lost way too much quality of life passives from old CP tree to new one IMO.

    2. Each tree should have one drill down tree. Instead of only one tree (blue) having two drill down trees. In this: the base tree of each is all passives, and the drill down tree of each is all active abilities.

    Oh my.. with all past patches and upgrades with all the nerfs and changes, I'd just say whatever, same ole and drive on with the game. However, this update with the new CP system can't be ignored or thrown under the rug. Sure, there are a lot of good things about the game, and plus and minuses, yadda, yadda; but, this new CP system has become my least favorite thing/aspect of the game. I'm disliking this more than bluescreening. Ha ha. Well, given the fact that on the combat constellation, the most gain of a stat we get is now 10%; a drop from 15% from the previous CP version. Oh, I remember when the CP system was first introduced years ago when it was 25%. So, a 10% face value drop since then.

    I've been tinkering with this for a couple hours with few different classes and toons, and damages (at face value) had dropped quite significantly. For example, with max food and stam (without Major Brutality) and even with max weapon damage and stamina passives in the Warfare constellation, my 2H build is only hitting in the 11k with Wrecking Blow. Notably, this is with the current max weapon damage at 5300 (again, without Major Brutality.) With the previous CP system, my Wrecking Blow was in the 14k (again, without Major Brut) where my max weapon damage was around 3800. This is a drop of around 3k damage from the previous CP system, and with an almost 1500 max weapon damage. What the heck..?!! Ha ha. Heck, once upon time in a galaxy far, far away, my Wrecking Blow was hitting around 18-21k at face value (without Major Brut); quite a significant drop of damages since then.

    Same significant damage rating dropped for my Stamplar. Previously, my Stamplar's Biting Jabs (at face value and without Major Brut) was dealing 5k per (with 4k max weapon damage.) Now, with 5300 (non-Major Brut) face value max weapon damage rating, my Stamplar's Biting Jabs is only hitting around 4100. Plus, you can only slot 4 passives per each of the Warfare, Finesse and Craft constellations; thus, making the other many passive options just showing there, unusable and taking up space; this is what I call fluff. Ha ha. Damn, and I haven't yet mess around with my mag toons.

    Good ZOS folks, please axe this new CP system and revert back to the previous where it was much more simpler, more usable and viable. I said, "Please" now. Oh, keep the reinstated CP increase. Lord, this is probably the only thing I am liking about this update. Hated continuously seeing CP 810 on the screen. However, I gotta say, my enjoyment of the game has decreased quite a bit with this new CP system. The game's rating is being dropped down to a 3-star on Amazon for now; until you revert the CP system back!

    Well, I gotta put in some good notes. Kudos and applause on the design and graphic. Toon/characters, environment and surrounding are looking very good. Keep up the good work on those aspects of the game!

    I don't want them to go back to CP 1.0 - now THAT was a very complicated system for me, while this one is very simple. I just want them to axe the green tree slottables in favor of making them passives.

    One rule of thumb is the more narrow the effect of a star, the stronger boost to damage in the Blue Constellation: Direct damage, DoT, AoE stars > dmg Crit star > dmg+Heal Crit star > Spell/Wep power for dmg abilities star > Spell/Wep power star.

    If your rotation/spamable is heavy in one or two damage types, you want to grab a star or two in the top right. The trick is knowing what type you skill falls under. Puncturing Sweep for example, is only affected by the AoE star.

    Also, with the boosted stats, you can go all in with magicka or stamina. Before I had some attributes in health so I could top 18k with Witchmother's brew. Now, with the passive Red health star, all my characters are 18k-22k without food.

    The biggest problem I have with the new CP system is understanding wtf they're talking about half the time. There's nothing wrong with basic English, y'know.
