Is this intended or has it been a thing for a while now? I just now noticed that i have way more spell damage while i queue into dungeons than i do in overland.

What measure are you talking about? Combat Metrics?

The queue does give a damage buff. It believe it’s to help incentivize the finder and buff PUGs.

    Stronger woofs!

ETA: another thread from 2019. I believe the buff is older than that, though.

According to that thread, or at least part of it, the buff stops at CP160 and after that its a UI error that continues to show.

On my tool tips it reflect the damage adjusted for the bonus, but Ive never actually looked at the damage ticks to see if they truly translate after CP160.

Yeah, there seemed to be some debate. It’s been a very long time since I’ve pugged a dungeon, but I will try to test it.

If it’s simply a remnant of battle scaling, it doesn’t make sense to me that it applies only in dungeons. Not to say that everything in game makes sense...

It does increase my spell damage by 25%, its not a ui bug for me

is this related to the fact they raised the cp cap to 3600?

Im cp 700 and i get the dungeon buff

I am pretty sure it is a UI error after CP160. Some friends and I were recently working on no-death/hard-mode/speed-run of Moon Hunter Keep. We would queue in initially. If we died less than 15 minutes in, we would break queue and port back in manually. If we died more than 15 minutes in, we would just requeue. We did this to save a little time because using LFG tool with a full group tends to get you back in faster and we were trying to maximize runs/hour so we could practice as much as possible. Repetition and practice seems to be the key to trifecta runs.

We would see the higher stats on our character sheet when we queued in versus going in manually, but never much of any gameplay differences. We were keeping time to make sure we were on pace for speed run and while we would some minor fluctuations, I never saw any serious contradictions between runs. The char sheet buff displays as quite a lot and I feel like it would have led to clearly higher DPS and clearly faster runs.

But this was pre-Update 29 and I don't know if anything might have changed.

For some reason i have a hunch that update 29 might have changed the 160 cp cap but i cant say for sure
