    It was said when people claimed that low dps DD builds were fake DD.
    In this topic OP speaks about a tank build.

    It's been a thing forever, sadly. I was running arx for medusa last night and we had a fake tank...real fun trying to get last boss done with her all over the place (mostly off island :s ).

    If you queue as a DD, think you are one, and do no damage; you are not fake, you are just not competent (yet)

    If you are a DD, think you are one, and queue as a tank, not only you are incompetent as a DD (because, empirically, fake tanks/heals are always horrible DDs), but you are also dishonnest. You are "fake"

    Several times, I've seen DDs with Sword and Shield in vet dungeons. and every time the runs have failed miserably...

    As weird or misinformed that tank who queued as a dps was. it was just a normal dungeon. lotso f people run through those w/o tanking. just one big free for all. I think perhaps ya might have over reacted a bit. i myself, although queue as a tank. dont actually tank unless the boss mechanic calls for it in normals. we just run through and nuke the place. even in random queues.

    she actually largely ignores taunt half the time, because ZoS just loves making bosses that make tanks redundant.

    On one hand, it's unimportant. On the other, this takes the experience away from newer players who now don't get used to working with support roles.

    ... and is also another reason not to tank in this game.

    Yeah she's a pest. When I'm doing specific dungeon GF and my buddies are offline I never expect a group to be stellar. I don't get mad it just goes with the territory...and ofc this is just a base dungeon so we carry on, lol.

    Yea this doesn't make much sense. Right now queuing as DD takes a LOT longer then tank....I've literally hit join queue and have the ready for dungeon screen pop up right after. That being said, if this was a normal dungeon, and it was successful, does it really matter?
