Could this be any harder on the eyes or make less sense from a mapping standpoint? I am getting seasick just looking at it and the connections barely make sense. It's like Path of Exile meets Cajun Jumbalaya. Two thumbs down on this without a doubt. [snip]

A simple improvement I wish we'd gotten: labels on the slottable stars so I could find them quickly without mousing over them to remember which one is which. I'm sure I'll get faster as I continue to swap stars, but for now it's just annoying.

Is this what have to look forward to next week? Having played this game for 4 years many things are really getting on my nerves and have started skipping days where I don't log on. The npc's are too annoying and plentiful in all the wrong places, plus the nerfing of pve gear and skills to balance PVP unfairness aggravating.

Yea I have to say I am not crazy about how limited this system is.

Most of the whole crafting tree were things we unlocked as we got more CP.
Well we still can unlock them but we can only use FOUR of any of them when we used to get them all.

Way too limiting and doesnt feel like I gain anything with higher CP at all because I can only slot 4 things.

This is the cp design they've been "working on for over a year" as they said in the interview a bit back. Hmmm

My only complaint is the slottable stars are not identifiable enough at a glance.

I had been playing for hours without some not slotted because I had no idea they needed to be. I felt really dumb.

Maybe I'm easy to satisfy but I like how it looks and works. Some would like to have minimalistic menus, others like flashing neons etc. etc. You can't make everyone happy.

I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver&Gold as a "you think you do but you don't"-tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game." - @AlexanderDeLarge

More times than what I would wish for, updates to this game fall flat mainly because of the unclear and badly designed user interface. Without add-ons, I would have quit playing long before they finally got around to adding search boxes to guild stores and reasonably narrow sub-categories to the inventory menus. Core UI elements that can't be changed, like the CP constellations and the guild "finder" (which is utterly incapable of, you know, actually *finding* a guild), are often very unclear, inconsistent between sub-systems and even internally to each sub-system (several conflicting design paradigms in the same interface), they fail to implement fundamental and obviously desirable functions, and on top of that the UI sometimes doesn't even work as intended and has serious bugs and glitches that never get fixed.

After the recent update, I realized there is no way to see which morphs you have leveled up when you reactivate a skill that was reset. Not a huge problem, but one of the little annoying things that forced me to read each morph description when reassigning hundreds of skill points on a dozen characters, just to find my way back to where the character was the day before. After two characters I resorted to making a guess and just using the free respec to change the ones I got wrong. Sadly, after playing for years I had both morphs leveled for quite a few skills on many characters, so I am probably still on the "wrong" morph for many skills. It will take me quite a lot of time to sort that out, for no good reason. The skills were reset because of a long standing bug with some skill points being awarded in error. I had dozens of skill points unspent on all my characters -- they could just have deducted some of those. But no, they first reset all my skills, and *then* deducted a point or two. Not checking for unspent skill points before resetting everything is lazy coding at the detriment of users.

Little things, but they add up. A bad and clunky UI can sink a good product. ESO needs more love from good UI designers.

I think it's way more overwhelming and less transparent than the old system at first, and will continue to be so for new players. But I've gotten used to it.

    You know what's funny?

As far as "agree to disagree" goes, This OP goes a might bit too far, the champion interface is canon in regards to the aspects of the warrior, thief and mage constellations design wise, and the "smart" thing is about where you as a player, can allocate points based on your play style. and who said that it "had" to be simple, your talking about a potential "end-game" element of complexity that can help your skills further in combination with what we already have if you are studious of the metaphorical "fine-print"

moreover, as far as the team went to make it, give 'em some credit instead of creating nonsensical backlash with "almost" no evidence to back those claims by far. they have problems of their own and it is specifically your kind of mentality so to speak that gives them the perfect reason not to answer us, the community. I'm not defending "anyone" specifically but when your dealing with these kind of threads as a developer, what choices do they have when users with this kind of thought are creating a problem that nobody else can see without a guiding hand.
If you see me anywhere. Know that I am sitting back with a bag of popcorn, watching as ESO burns the goodwill of its player base with practices that only disrespects the players time like it did to me and many others...

If a game does not respect your time, best thing to do is move on from it and find something else.

No labels and having to drag and drop is mindbogglingly stupid.

I preferred the old constellation style - the new one is messy and confusing.

The new CP UI doesn't even work properly on control pads. Once you've put in points and confirmed them, there's no way to re-adjust the points. You have to switch to the keyboard UI to do this because it requires scrolling on the mouse.

Fundamentally the new CP system is a welcome change. Well, better than having nothing at all which is what we had for far too long.

But this is only the starting point. It's a long way from perfect and It's not the finished article, but it will evolve and improve over time, so constructive feedback and ideas from the community have an important role to play.

Actually I really like the new system but I hope (fervently) that the powers that be take another look at the Green/Craft constellation as most if it should be passives.

I actually think the new system is good, except for a few minor annoyances. At CP600 and CP1200 for my two accounts, I am back at feeling rewarded for the CP points I gain instead of facing strongly diminishing returns (CP600) or getting no benefit at all (CP1200).

It's the unclear and clunky user interface that sinks it. Visibility, consistency and affordance are severely lacking, as is ease of use.

The points to invest to unlock other points don’t make sense....

Then there’s the slotted perks - cannot perceive any advantages from them.

It was a great idea to re-vamp to CP system but this one wonders how much they took in the testing feedback.

The old constellation was easier to approach and did look better.
The new one feels unfinished once again...or rushed. Needs to be tweaked some more. Designer get back in there, you! ;)

What bothers me is almost everything goes up in 10s. Which means there's almost no need to re allocate cps as you level another 30 levels.

No idea what is so non-intuitive here. Passive stars are dim, active stars are bright, slotted active stars are extra bright. Unlock them one after another using the edges. The graphs are not big enough to have any difficulty in solving the shortest path problem.

posted above that fundamentally the system is a welcome change, but have to say that the green tree isn't intuitive, logical or fair at all and needs a complete re-think !

I'm in favor of the new CP overall. The green tree definitely needs a tweak but having to make choices and forcing more towards a particular pigeonhole of build type is a good thing. Universal god-mode is a bad thing for a game and the old CP system enabled that.

Everyone complains about power creep and easy mode until the nerf bat affects their build. Good to see this new CP applied with no prejudice. Everyone has to make a choice.

I agree that the drag and drop is a bit tedious. I would like to see the ability to double click the slottable nodes to slot and remove from slot.
