Are people really complaining about this change? Seriously?
It's the ONLY thing that made this patch good IMO.

I know what they said, and I never agreed. But that is a moot point now.
Players used to have control over it. Now they don't. I wonder if that is creating negative results for them like it had for me.
If the speed is an issue, don’t take the passive and don’t put anything into the mount speed green CP star. That’s how players can have control over it.
This is still repercussions for switching Rapids and Vigor which was a mistake from the get go.
Hopefully when it comes to console it doesn’t affect me as others have said (riding off cliffs) excessively too fast.
I was under the impression that you did get a small burst when you sprinted, but wasnt sure if that was just my perception. So taking that burst out of the equation, where do you top out if you just hold down sprint with gallop and the CP slotted? 240%?
And mounts not always had speed boost after pressing Sprint - it was added long time ago. Mounts lose this tiny speed boost after a second of running, and then it's not possible to get this tiny boost by pressing Sprint again in the same "running session" - only after completely stopping and resuming movement.
Holding Sprint button + Major Gallop + Gifted Rider = 282% on good terrain

Yes. People who didn't know that the patch moved the 30% speed boost from Rapids to Continuous Assault.
Does this new constant Major Gallop has the same visual effects as Rapids (yellow lines in the air)? Or that were the effects of the skill, not the status itself?

Really? That would seem to be a good idea in theory, but what about when you die and need to ride back to the battle or otherwise get separated from the group? Did you stop to swap it out? On PC it seemed everyone had it and some used add-ons to swap in on and off the bar and I was considering doing so myself until I heard this change was coming.
I thought the Vigor / Rapids switch was to help PvE players, actually, since Vigor is a useful skill for some builds, but maybe that wasn’t the case. Anyway, I’m glad Rapids is something I no longer have to slot! I’m all for mount speed options controlled in ways that don’t take up my skill slots, but is there even a walk animation for mounts? I know that bothered me when I got my senche-raht on a low level character and the effort did not appear to match the forward momentum.
