Master Gatherer broken? (was: Lost master gatherer after CP 2.0)

Welp, my CP 604 character has no way in hades now to get Master Gatherer...for at least another 150-200 points. Back to slow gathering. Kinda sucks....thanks for that ZOS.

Interesting. My cp 655 character somehow has master gatherer fully unlocked. Its a miracle!

160 CP in the green tree is enough for fully specced out master gatherer? so thats 480 CP.
you dont need to fully specc out the previous stars, reaching the first treshhold will suffice. maybe you need to change your route as well?

You may want to reset your CP, because the shortest route to Master Gatherer is 85 CP, which leaves you more than enough to fully buy Master Gatherer and go into Plentiful Harvest. The other routes use a bit more CP, but may be preferable depending on what you are doing on that character.

You don't have to max the prerequisite perks before the one you want, just get it to first bar.

Ok....seeing as people are saying otherwise, I'll look again. I had...what 202 points to spend, I dumped 50 into horse speed, and then couldn't find a way to get all the way up to Master Gatherer from there. I'll look again...it was early and my "game time" was spent doing the minutiae of point assigning

Welp..gave it a shot...sure enough Master Gatherer is now 50! Sadly, it made no difference. Still takes 2 swings of an axe or pickaxe where it used to take 1. Broken?

.. this is such a massive overhaul of the system. take your time, read, think, try out (changes are free of charge for 2 weeks) and if everything goes awry, write in the forums, not the other way arround

Thanks....I thought I did...I knew about slotting but ya...looks like more time in game not actually playing the game

i just noticed myself:
sometimes when you press confirm after slotting a CP-Star it just deletes the star instead of allocating it. maybe it was the same for you

It's not broken, it only takes me one swing to gather. Are you sure you confirmed your CP allocation?

Don't forget you also need to slot Master Gatherer at the top!

I initially thought it was broken as well, but then I realized that extra step was necessary!

@DigiAngel In case you missed it, now "Continuous Attack" passive from the Assault skill line, which is unlocked at level 3, grants 30% more mount speed at all times. Besides that, you can stack it with "Charging Manouver" to increase the mount's speed.

I still think they should have gotten rid of the concept of splitting your CP into 3 categories and allowed players to dump it all in one spot if they wished (same with the "active bar").

That way if you wanted a dps, you can go all in, same with tank, or crafter, etc. And if you had lower CP, you could dump it all into one section to keep up with the key needs as you gain more points and flesh out other stuff.

Aye I think when I get a chance I'll just mess around with it. I was following a guide but eh...with this setup maybe it's time to get creative.

Rapid Maneuver no longer boosts horse speed, and when it did it was the same buff they just moved to Continuous Attack, so they never would have stacked.

Charging granted Minor Expedition, which is foot speed only.

Having to slot something that used to be passive is lame. "Meaningful choices" is fine for combat and competitive play, but shouldn't be for small QoL changes. If you have earned enough CP, you should get the QoL perk. Full stop. No silly slotting and unslotting CP perks for simple QoL bonuses. "You can only have so much quality of life, chumps! Choose wisely." That is dumb and insulting game design.

If so, nobody would have more than 50, right? It would be really redundant too, since you can't start earning it until you're 50.

CP is something to do with all the xp you earn after you hit cap. Seems like much ado about nothing too, frankly, since I logged in, reset my CP/Skills on my first character, ran outside for some testing, and hit almost 2 CP just opening a simple chest out in the world. I can't imagine how much I would have done if I were in a delve, or a Public Dungeon, even w/out a group. The second character I adjusted was below 50, but gotta have my alchemist back, so priorities.

Totally agree! There are more passives than I was expecting in the red and blue constellations — mot that I’m complaining about that but there obviously choice as versus endlessly stacking benefits. As low CP as I am, I have more fun playing with those trees and looking at what I want for each character. The green constellation feels so much more restrictive! Too many things are slottable which doesn’t balance anything but is needlessly punitive if you don’t switch things between crafting, harvesting, fishing and opening a chest. On the other hand, I’m happy to get meticulous disassembly and chance for double harvest from nodes!
