The only non monster proc damage set that belongs in PvP

After seeing the list of sets that will remain in cyrodil for the next part of PvP I haven’t been more happy with a monumental change even if every set I currently use is now redundant. There is only 1 set that I am disappointed to be absent from PvP and that’s vicious death, I play play stamina builds almost exclusively before people think Im asking for my cheese to be exempted. There is nothing better in PvP than being outnumbered ten fold and watching someone nuke players for stacking, balling and large group playing. If anything this game needs more skills like proxy det that are directly made to punish people that crutch and heavily rely on stacking numbers which would encourage people to run in smaller and less concentrated groups.

Highly subjective, but I think Vicious Death might legitimately be the most interesting set in PvP as a whole. I can't think of any other set that is so impactful that it makes people aware of it at almost all times, and instills a sense of mild anxiety even after battle has ended. It's like a kind of fun form of PTSD or something!

Whether I'm on the exploding or exploded side of Vicious procs, it's a fun mechanic that almost always makes me smile. I'm going to miss it from Cyrodiil more than anything else, I reckon.

I put my bomber in cold storage when the 30k+HP, Heavy Armor craze hit, except for Mid Year Mayhem. The likelihood of killing a competent group player is close to zero now.

    Maybe U29 will change this.

To me it is hilarious that a dev designs a set only for pvp. Oh wait.....

Just yesterday there was a yell faction stack in a tunnel on Ravenwatch EU. Without VD, it was probably impossible to kill them all.

BUT: VD is also very often used against normal players, and it made group fights boring.

I'd rather see a Bombblade buff than a return of VD, to be honest.

Best rework proxy det skill to have VD's 5pc bonus.

"enemies affected by the explosion will explode for 23k damage (fixed value) for 3 seconds"

Well ZoS doesn't like for skills to work differently in PvE and PvP and if that change would work on all enemy types including PvE mobs that skill would be completly busted.

VD is a fun set, but you can still ult-bomb big groups of stupid. They don’t have proc heal sets anymore to save them.

Anyone bust out their Macros to see how well Harmony bombing works now?

Yeah, I was just talking about this the other day.
I am missing VD, and I am not even a bomber!

    You mean MagCros?

It works well, but not being able to cloak without a potion makes it difficult to do in many places.

So run stage 4 vamp to sprint-cloak, precast BB, run in the group, drop your daddy smash, drop your grave, pop it, then run-cloak out?

I play solo, small scale and in some organized group play. I'll never understand the mindset of people that hate on others for playing in groups in an MMO. Or that just hate groups in general. Most of the time I end up seeing 1-2 players provoking a much larger group and then complain that they got "zerged" down.

When I'm solo or there's 2-3 and if we attack a 10-12+ person group I go in knowing that we may die, probably will die if the group has any kind of organization and coordination. Sometimes we do, sometimes we don't. I'm not going to complain about groups if I/we die though.

When I play in an organized group, our groups won't go after a solo player unless they provoke. These days its usually a 40k+ hp stamden or magsorc streakmaster that wants to play pvtower or pvrock.

I 100% agree, VD should be the only proc damage set that should be allowed in Cyro. As it actually requires you to do something other than light attack to proc and requires you to use skills to get it to go off, I know some people don't know how to use skills in Cyro and have got used to their armor doing all their damage and healing for them.

I miss getting bombed, but that's a small price to pay to not deal with 64 hp tanks proccing 3 sets with a light attack.

Anyway those players are funny to say the least.

Man I can’t honestly say I complain when getting zerged down, it’s part of the game I play. I think players who tbag players and salt whisper them “your bad” after finally winning a fight that they had every odds to win is what I would say I “complain” about. But generally the “complaining” people say is being done is me just pointing out the fact that they are in fact terrible players that rely on overwhelming numbers to win. They can’t handle this simple fact of me just pointing out the truth to them so they say “wow stop crying and get good” or some other cringe like “I have so many kills on you “ from their 20 man. You know you really have them when they tell you something like “I’m sorry I have a life, a wife, two kids and a job and not a loser virgin like you”(as if that’s an accomplishment that likely most players have due to the older player base). I think it helps them to think that being informed they are completely delusional and not good is “complaining” so they don’t have to come to terms of how bad they are. I love it. Most players that outnumber small players are under my affect; they have high confidence and low competence. It’s only confirmed when they send the first whisper.

Tbh I’d complain if I didn’t get zerged down. Because then I’d be playing the game on easy mode. I may send my share of salt tells but that’s just to make sure you get mad enough to release and come back :)

Would certainly hate to have to offer any more hall passes.

zerging down a solo is literally easier than winning a game of warzone or apex with an aimbot and wall hacks on. Some people like to play games on hard, some like to play mode easier than easy usually called story mode, you can tell the challenge someone wants usually by what build they run and how they PvP.
