To me the fog pushback is vastly better. Heavy fog makes sense for certain weather and environments, but this fog is ever present in all zones in this game. I think it's pretty awful.

It's not fog, it's aerial perspective.

Which you still get in the first picture. I wouldn't want it fully removed as it would look unrealistic, but it is too heavy handed in my opinion in ZoS's application.

The reason it is so heavy handed is because the distant textures in certain zones as you get far enough away from mountains and such are very low quality.

But if you prefer the thick wall of "aerial perspective" that's your choice. This thread is all about aesthetics.
