Performance was the normal level of terrible when the entire server stacked on the hammer at Alessia Bridge on PC/NA. Might wanna hold your breath for NA prime time.

See some in zone was saying that too, but I was in the thick of it with the hammer as well and I had really no lag at all. Sure low FPS perhaps cause of all the effects but I could actually use my abilities and I saw them go off and hit. Unlike times before the test where you could spam one skill and maybe, MAYBE, it would go off every 10th click. I mean you could go stand in the zerg and just do nothing and still live cause their single target skills would just not hit you.

[Snip]. So far results are looking pretty mixed to me. When the hammer was up I was over 500ms.

And, it seems like they dropped population cap a bit for the test too, but I don't remember any mention of that.

Performance dreadful on EU. Big keep fights = 3 seconds of hammering skills to get them to fire. Excellent.

I have lagged out and disconnected twice since my earlier post, gotten the slow bug, and had 500ms lag spikes and rubberbanding pretty regularly.

I do like the no-procs, this is a lot more fun. Getting to do tons of free damage just for wearing a silly hat was always an odd thing to include in PvP :)

Yeah but I like to be able to use mythics, and other sets like NMA, Bright throat, etc.

Horrid lag and after six years with no solid solution I doubt Cyro will ever be playable in large scale battlespace.

I mean, it could just be me, but light attacks would stutter and fail to fire let alone ult drop or ability use.

Ok.. After being on PC/NA Gray Host for whole evening, I am experiencing two different results.

In smaller group conflicts without siege weapons, server lag/performance is much better.

In large keep/forte siege conflict with numerous siege weapons, lag/performance is soooo bad. Absolutely no improvement what so ever. Whatever performance gain from no-proc set is completely lost in a large siege battle.

I just don't think either ESO hardware/server (even if ZOS says it is not a bottleneck) or underlying game codes/NET codes are up to par for this game design.

Played for about 4 hours last night 1 hours on PC-NA Blackreach from 8:30 PM EST to 9:30 PM EST Performance was slightly better than usual though the majority of fights I encountered had 2-3 x the typical people involved than on a normal evening in black reach, many 3 faction fights near keeps and resources but not much keep siege going on. Some mis-fired abilities with the occasion rubber band inside a resource tower with a lot going on.

From 9:30PM to 12:00 AM i swapped over to PC-NA Ravenwatch and performance was remarkably better even under 20v20 siege weapon keep fights. Never had abilities delay or rubber banding even when I could barely see a target due to so much chaos going on.

It appears that cross group healing may have been turned back on but generally there was so many people around it was hard to tell for sure which could make some difference.

Overall No-CP seemed to show a significantly greater improvement perhaps the CP calculations still have somewhat of an effect even without all the set calcs. If this is the case the new CP changes may also have a positive change on Cyro performance

Me and some of my guildmates played from about 7PM - 9:30PM on Blackreach last night and the majority of us were having really bad lag, skill delay, stuttering, and desync. It seemed like the healers were less effected. From my perspective this is some of the worst performance I have seen in a long time. Needless to say the group called it quits as many of us simply could not use skills in fights that involved more than 12 players.

Also as enjoyable as no procs are as a gimmick - I genuinely hope this does not stay this way personally. Part of the fun of ESO is the deck building quality that comes to creating a build, mixing and matching sets, mundus stones, traits, skills, etc.

Yea so will retract my earlier statement of noticing improvements. During Prime time sunday PC NA Grayhost, EP had the hammer for a while, and the mega zerg and siege fights that followed... Using anything for a cast time or any charge abilities were completely out of the question, it was down to spamming single skills and keeping buffs up the best you can and hope that you don't get insta killed when the lag caught up with you and you were hit with everything all at once.

I mean, I have never seen a bigger zerg from any faction than what I saw last night. Though I am not exactly in cyrodiil 24/7 so might not be much to others. However with the game design of cyrodiil around 20v20 siege fights and hammer and scroll rushes things should not get that bad.

And like @Oreyn_Bearclaw told me, adding back healing to allies in addition to the current test is changing too many variables for effective stress testing the changes of the sets. Maybe the sets did make a change, like many said, it has been noticeable during hours that aren't prime time. While in prime time its just as bad if not worse, cause mega zergs with healing spammed all over the place, adding thousands of calculations to the server. So we can't really notice and tell properly what made the biggest impact. One can only hope they can tell better than us from the back end, not holding my breath though.

What do people expect when Vicious Death is gone? There's no reason not to just zerg everything

I wasn't surprised at everyone zerging. Actually enjoy it. Im pro zergs. I was just amazed at the level of focus that EP had for once and it was like the whole faction came together for a single tunnel vision purpose. And it really was tunnel vision, cause everything that wasn't by the hammer got ignored, even defense of key keeps.

I just disconnected and gave up after an hour or trying to make my abilities fire... I am not in a large group either... I've just come back to the game for the first time since like 2016 so I'm running solo to try and relearn hot to play... I am not sure how long I'm gonna stick around because imp city is mostly dead and there is no performance in cyrodiil...

Pretty poor performance in the 30-Day Standard, PC-NA.

Even at the outermost reaches of the map my skills were delayed or just not firing. Jabs not landing, dizzy taking 3 days to wind up.

I am very much enjoying the no-proc ruleset, to the point I'd rather stay in the lag than deal with the proc zergs that moved into IC.

    ???????????

Same lag as before the test.-

Same crashes as before the test.-

    Prime Time unplayable.-

Same FPS degradation over time (After playing few hours you have this bug and your fps drops to 10, the fix for this is change zone or log out but if u leading a raid you lost the crown and requeue).-

    Hammer = Worst lag ever.-

I have been a supporter of all the Cryodiil tests because it shows ZOS's desire to improve the game. Sadly i think this "no-proc" test will be as fruitless as the others because i have experienced little improvement.

The only test remaining is the one that applies increased server resources, perhaps ten-fold. The forums have been begging for this from the start. Time to give that a test.

There is a <good> chance they may actually be testing that right now on us, by either adding/removing server resources and/or changing the number of players allowed in at once behind the scenes. I am kinda hoping that is in fact the case and they get a handle on what it will actually take to get things working again, and not just using the info to minimize the expenditure on the new hardware they announced.

Does anyone know, is there a static amount of resources utilized by Cyrodiil? X amount of server space is partitioned for Cyro and that's that? In open world when a threshold is met in a zone it spins up another instance of that zone to siphon off players into. Does Cyro work like that as well while not providing another instance of Cyro does it allocate more server space dynamically to adjust to population in Cyro? Not sure that is even possible, but just curious if anyone has knowledge. I am wondering about some things that happen when it is pop locked, and players are coming into the game on characters that logged out in Cyro. The game is trying to put them in Cyro, but since it is locked it redirects them to their last known PvE location. When this happens it takes an inordinately long time to log in, and I am wondering if this effects the Cyro server structure, and if it is being accounted for in server resource allocation.
