What sets do you use on your healer?

When healing 4-player normal content, is it even needed to wear healing sets? Couldn’t I just use False God’s D + Medusa and slot a resto staff to use all the usual healing skills?

That depends on what 4 person content it is. For anything on normal difficulty yes. For DLC veteran dungeons and hard modes... yes to an extent, but not always.

Remember that the primary purpose of a "healer" yes is to heal, but really they should be called "support", because that is a huge part of their role and that in no small part does comes from the set selection, not just skills. False God and Medusa are not going to provide any buffs/debuffs for the group, which is where sets like Olorime, Symphony of blades etc, come into play.

It is fair to say that good, experienced players, really do not need a healer any more, for instance I, an average scrub, can solo a huge number of vet dungeons, on multiple characters. So yeah healing mechanics and function isnt what it used to be or where it should or could be ideally. That said, in more demanding content the support aspects a healer provides can still be most welcome, as well as the extra healing meaning others can concentrate more on dps.
