What you are asking for almost sounds like final fantasy 14. And no, thank you. The animation cancel get its own depth. On other note, if you want souls like gameplay, new world is almost here. Seems its gonna crash and burn tho.
I agree. I don’t care how they change it. I just want my attacks to feel like they have weight. I don’t want content balanced around light weaving and hotbar flipping. I want flexibility and adaptability for combat. Cooldown or no Cooldowns, doesn’t matter. Let there be weight to attacks, less spam / more tactical element, and less rotation / more combo flexibility.
ESO’s combat is one of the things that hold it back.
If players don’t want cooldowns. How about this.
All skills will buffed but use more resources. Light and Heavy Attacks will do more damage.
If not that, how about gear sets that boost weapon damage. VET content overhauled to be more about mechanics and not dps checks. In other words, remove the need for light weaving and hotbar flipping.
What’s funny is that the ones that don’t see the issue have only played WoW or GW2 and thinks that’s every MMO.
A lot of players need to look at Black Desert, Dragons Dogma, For Honor, Dragon Age: Inquisition, and just about every fantasy action game that has been released since 2010. It’s bad when Skyrim plays better as an action game than your action MMO.
I have a friend that told that ESO is going to the most popular MMO if it has better combat.
