Ebonsteel Drop rate

Anyone else having issues with getting Ebonsteel to drop, i have killed over 20 bosses this morning , and have yet to get anything. Normally during events like this the drop rate is decent and isnt an insane grind. O.o

I've gotten 5 drops in about 5 hours of sewer/district time, only one of which is a dupe. I feel like I have been blessed by RNGeezus. It's all random.

Also haven't seen a single piece. I think one person in my entire group got one piece the first night of the event.

I've gotten 2 today, and once Thursday.. I'm sure the drop rate will increase next week and it'll be cheap in the traders by the end of the event.

It’s 100% when you join in some PvP and just spend tickets

I've been getting about 1/hour of either Second Legion or Ebonsteel. That's 1 boss every few minutes, so nearly 1/15-20?

I literally killed 31 boss’s that first day. (Was keeping count) no drops. 2nd day killed 18 boss’s, no drops. Today killed 8 boss’s and got 2 drops back to back one of which I had already gotten with my daily tickets. So I doubt I’ll get another drop anytime soon.

The drop rate seems atrocious. And slick encourages the use of the crown store for tickets. I’ll just collect them from daily tickets myself.

Not sure how many boss kills I have but quite a few. Drop rate of Ebonsteel is terrible for me. I've gotten 1 page of that and 6 of second legion (which I already had almost complete) . I would really rather not have to spend this much time farming IC bosses so that I can join my one pvp guild in Cyrodiil, but I'd like a few more of these pages than I can get via tickets (since lots of my tickets are headed for the other items)

lol so i broke down and used some tickets to get the chest and helm, i think im up to 40 bosses totally trying to get a freakin Motif o.O

Yes but that was to be expected. Same with last years legion Zero motif. To complete the stile is a huge grind.

Legion Zero had a far better drop rate IMO. The real problem was getting full achievement credit for the boss kills.

I got 1 page so far, but have no idea where it dropped from, because I never noticed it in my loot list until later when I was depositing stuff in the bank.

Had a thought about why I hate single-source low-drop-rate items.
Because I want to run BGs or zerg surf aroung Cyro, but what I do? I sit in damp smelly sewers camping banner boss spawn point, with other alliance players occasionally paying us a visit. It's hecking booooring.

The drop rate seems low to me - but, of course, that could be RNG. About 8 Second Legion motifs have dropped for me (which are useless for me other than selling them) but only 2 of the Ebonsteel motifs have dropped after killing probably about 35 bosses so far. It's actually a bit boring farming the bosses (and not always easy to find a group doing that). I am hoping for another one or two drops and then I will probably use tickets because it is a style that I like. I assume that low drop rates, which also result in low availability from guild traders and high prices, might encourage people to buy tickets from the store. But if that is a strategy from ZOS it isn't one that I am personally prepared to engage in.

2 Ebonsteel so far, about 40 bosses. 6 Second Legion in that same time.

I'm pretty sure whoever put the "much smaller chance of Second Legion" in the server settings got it backwards. The only players who seem to have Ebonsteel to trade are the ones at the Ebral banner farm in EPs sewers.

So far I've run four different toons, completed all daily quests in Imperial Sewers and the daily Battlegrounds....not one style page drop so far.

You know drop rates suck when the motif pages hardly show up at TTC.

Darn, that's what I was afraid of. I've been farming the crossed-swords sewer bosses, not the patrolling horrors, and was lucky enough to get in a battle involving two patrolling horrors simultaneously and several fellow alliance players.

I have to vent: couple of hours yesterday got me two pages, yay! Same two hecking pages as the day before Well, at least I've got the cuirass page.

RNG in this game tends to be annoying. Always seems you never get the drops of what you want no matter what it is.

I normally don't do this, but this time I don't even try - I just bought 2 pages for 100k+ and rest is going by tickets. I prefer to use this time to grind some AP in Cyrodiil.

Glad it's not just me having bad rng. No pages so far from 30+ bosses. I've already accepted I will have to just buy with tickets
