There things I like and there are things I dislike.

BUT this might be the worst update ever if live CP amount isn't rescaled to new CP system. And Zenimax silence is just hinting towards that.

Why would they scale your CP? You've been able to continuously earn them... you just had a cap on what you could spend.

I meant, the exp curve is being changed in U29, meaning that 1k CP on live has much higher value than 1k CP on the PTS (you need more experience for 1k CP on live). If they make the conversion ratio 1:1, than any high-CP player will effectively lose experience. Why should we lose something we worked so hard for?

They changed the curve each and every patch when they added to the cap previously. So this was the norm before for years.

They also haven't even adjusted the XP levels to gain CP yet on the PTS (which they said they were)... so we're complaining about something that is still going to be adjusted, without knowing what they're going to do.

I love PTS patch day 1... Chicken Little's all over the place :joy: Things will be tuned, some will be adjusted, some people will still be upset because stuff changed. But these grandiose statements that many of these threads make are knee jerk reactions... and knee jerk reactions are almost always emotional, rather than logical. I've always lived by a "wait 24 hours, and sleep on it policy" for those types of things. I use it at my job, I use it in coaching, and I use it in my relationships.

I haven't fully tested and done the math on the new CP system... but I did 3DD/1T vet Cauldron HM last night on PTS, so damage isn't that much lower... (and two of us were on magplars, arguably the WORST DPS class)

From my limited time looking at it... once you're at about 1200 CP, you can fully spec into a specific build for your character role. If you want to be dual specced to change on the fly, you're going to need 1800 CP + (since I like to heal/tank/dps on my main character, I'd have to do some re-speccing to accomplish that, even at nearly 2000 CP)... Our other magplar DD was only at 1k CP, and was fine.

There are many stars that are "nice" to have, but by no means required. I was running parse food on my magplar (Ghastly Eye Bowl) and still had 20k health, so you don't really need to spend your points in the "gain health" star unless you have nowhere else to spend them... it's a small amount regardless.

Yes, there will be an adjustment for people. The theory crafters of ESO will figure it out, and I'd bet that we don't end up too far from where we were previously.
