Feedback: Vampires and the new light armor stealth passive

It’s cool and all, but I feel like it detracts from vampire’s dark stalker passive. Would be nice if these bonuses stacked, or if one of them was changed so they can actually work together. For instance, if the new light armor passive was to reduce the cost of stealth instead for each piece worn.

That’s cool that light armor gets a bonus to stealth too — it makes sense, really. :)

Light armour is usually worn mostly by mages though, and using a spell in sneak pulls you out of sneak and prevents you from getting the stealth bonus with a spell. so I'm not really sure why while using light armour we would need this bonus? i already use sets to remove sneak speed reduction and concealed weapon for more speed in stealth when I'm stealing things on my nb healer but in general, overall gameplay, stealth isnt as useful for anyone geared towards magic

I use sneak quite often in pvp - usually to wait for an opportune moment to strike. My concern here though is that this new bonus is completely useless for vampires because it doesn’t stack with Dark Stalker. It would be cool if dark stalker didn’t cancel this out, or if the bonus were granted to something like sprint speed instead. Thinking about it now, that would even be a good counter to the new heavy armor sprint speed penalty.

True, alternatively makes it feel like there is even less reason to use vampire at all when this bonus is a given to anyone wearing light armour which is. 99% of mages anyway. especially considering vampire already has it's own drawbacks, is it really worth it to be a vampire (stat wise) mage with the draw backs of having light armour, taking more phys dmg etc and the dark stalker buff being applied to both and nullifying each other.

Only offensive spells as the ones that only effect yourself do not pull you out of stealth. Still though, I agree it's a bit odd for it to be on light armor for players other than vampires, and it doesn't even seem to stack with them either.

I meant in the sense of using stealth for sneak attacks, since mages can't do that with spells you lose a big part of why people make stealth builds at all (which never was a thing for mages in eso as far as sneak attacks go)

What's weird about this is Medium Armor has a speed/sprint bonus and light armor has the stealth bonus. Shouldn't these two be swapped around since light armor is literally cloth and you should run faster while in it?

swtiching them would make more sense. another thing to consider in this case is that while light armour has a bonus for sneaking, despite that not being something mages traditionally or effectively do (they can sneak just fine, invis spell for NB IS a magic spell, but since it's not useful in most gamplay? idk.) and medium armour has no drawbacks while light armour does. so essentially you get the stealth speed bonus. but you have to pay for it. but at the same time is it doing anything for you?

I guess you guys haven't seen how fast a magic user vampire can be now in stealth.

I'm already faster than sprinting speed while in stealth on live and I'm not a vampire so idk if i wanna kno.

Yeah, when I first saw the bonus I was pretty stoked about it because I [naturally] assumed it would work alongside the Dark Stalker passive, but after trying it out on the PTS & realizing that that is not the case I was pretty disappointed. It's just a [literally 100% useless to me] passive that has drawbacks like taking increased damage from stam toons (as if they needed it).

    Very disappointing.

I have. The bonuses don’t stack, which was kind of the point of this thread. The new light armor bonus detracts from the usefuless of the vampire passive.

I bet you aren't a magic user and this change threatens your min/max.

Thank you for getting my point! I don’t think bonuses should step on each other like this. Hoping they change it so they don’t!
