How much gold do you make a week?

Viewsfrom6ix

I have been playing for half a year and been very interested in gold making as I am not a ESO+ sub. I want to be able to max out my bag and bank space and buy crowns for assistants and DLCs.

I am curious how much you guys/gals make a week. Feel free to give a brief explanation how you make gold if you make a lot.

When I'm playing regularly, I can make that much. Daily crafting writs on 7-8 characters, plus whatever questing & thievery I get up to. Vendoring stuff to NPCs, no participation in the player economy.

Ahhh.. just enough to drown my sorrows in Skooma at the local capital tavern and maybe one of the fine NPC tavern maids there. Ha ha. Really don't spend much gold in this game or purchase trader stuff, or need, otherwise.

You can do a lot of money just by doing writs and questing, as a person above wrote. I don't normally bother with all writs on all characters, but if I needed a lot of money fast, that's what I'd do (I have 18 characters on my main account). If you need extra gold, you can also sell the intricate/recipes/gold materials you get from the writ rewards via Guild Traders.

    It varies wildly.

I'm in three high-end trading guilds, so I like to have at least low six figures in weekly sales overall -- but it doesn't always work out that way. Last week I did over 2 million in one of my guilds, but that's very high for me.

I'm bored by crafting writs, so I only do them occasionally.

I work at home and have two screens on my computer, so it's very easy to open hireling emails. But that's in-kind wealth building rather than gold. I rarely sell off the resulting mats, but I do make big mat donations to trading guilds in lieu of cash.

I actually don't know what to select for the poll. I've been playing since open beta and only recently crossed 50 million in actual gold, so the highest figures don't feel right. On the other hand, I crossed 25 million not all that long ago ... :)

Daily writs on various characters, two accounts on both PC NA and EU, plus antiquities on alts, and questing on whoever pokes me hard enough on a given day; also vendoring stuff from chests etc. I don't belong to guilds, so don't get into the game "economy" setup.

This number is maybe is little low, bit it's just by playing the game finding gear, motifs and other stuff to sell.

Writs aren't that lucrative compared to the time it takes to do them.

    I recently started doing this.

Queues for dungeon and BG can be long so I use that time to shop around for underpriced gears and mats then I sell them later for a profit.

A few thousand on average, mostly by picking a pocket or two*, rummaging through stuff that doesn't belong to me or doing a few writs when I can be bothered.

Still casually collecting capital and experience so I will not yet get to that every week. But it's not that difficult.

I don't do guilds or traders, and only occasionally do writs. Each of my two accounts on two servers raises just a few thousand per week, unless there's a big gold login reward.

I get this very casually by just doing writs on my main, doing a few dailies, selling motifs I pick up, and the teeny tiny rewards given to me when I get Rewards for the Worthy from PVPing.

If you can stand other players at all, do try find a guild which you find comfortable. It makes a big difference in a MMO.

Depends if I'm actually trying or not. Some weeks I'll go into money making mode and spend a couple hours a day actively searching for deals. Those weeks it's pretty easy to stack up millions. Other weeks I just spend a lot as to not hoard a useless pile of gold as I feel it's bad for the overall economy of the game. Between my two trade guilds I have 60 million in sales over the past 30 days and I'd say about half of that is profit as a rough estimate.

I'm taking it extremely easy at the moment, so this is not typical amount for me. when I'm actively trying its up to a mil a week. I tend to do crafting writs, sell excess upgrade mats that I get from turn ins and refining survey mats, and sell off whatever incidental recipes/motif pages I get while playing (playing often includes stealing, I don't know why but I enjoy stealing in this game and fencing is also a bit of extra cash).

right now, I mostly just list enough to stay in my two trading guilds and not get kicked from my stash of leftover mats and recipes, so the amount is MUCH lower. but I don't have a lot of time to play at the moment, so it is what it is.

My average is around 500K but I can't even remember the last time I made less than 100K in a week. The most I can remember banking in a week was just under 6M.

Depends on whether I’m doing daily writs on all my characters. Lately, I’m not, so all I’m making is what I get from questing and killing mobs, plus the occasional guild store sales. But it’s pretty easy to make gold in this game if you feel like farming and doing crafting writs.

Writs on 10 characters make me about 50k a day. Rinse and repeat.

Please don't be so condescending. I have run many guilds, cities and kingdoms in online games beginning more than 20 years ago, and happily play cooperative content in them these days as well as interacting with other players in various ways. I merely no longer play MMOs in order to socialise. Nor do I want to commit any particular period of time to running content with other players.

Somewhere below 100k most of the time.

In spite of what some say, making gold in this game if you don't use guild traders much and your main source of gold is quest rewards, mobs, and selling gear to NPCs vendors that drops from mobs.

Depends on whether I work up enough ambition to sell my tempers and flowers. If I do that, even on one trader in one guild I can get 65k in a day. If I don't bother with selling stuff, then it will be about 20-25k for the week.

Not including selling in guild store, about 300K through crafting and questing.
