What is going on with ESO on PlayStation Service?

PS4 Cyrodiil 12.21.2020 10pm pst

• Login and queue/enter Cyrodiil, Error 304
• Login and queue/enter Cyrodiil. Join group, and black screen kicked from game
• Login, character still in-game, retry until game releases my character
• Login and queue/enter Cyrodiil, Voice Channels - Unable to connect Comms Server, logout/close game
• Login and queue/enter Cyrodiil, I can play! 15 minutes later a group member's resurrection crashes the game to Report Error blue screen
• Login and queue for Cyrodiil. Loading into Cyrodiil I get a black screen, I hear environment noise and voice channels
• Close game

Usually I get 1-3 of the mentions above daily, and yesterday I stuck it out to see how long before I would give up, or the game would actually be playable.

This has been going on for months and only getting worse? Since PlayStation players pay Sony a subscription to play ESO should all further videos on crashes and complaints be directed to Sony?

You got all of the common bugs in one session, congrats! I've lost hope ZOS will fix all this stuff, honestly its embarrassing for a 6 year old game it feels like a Beta sometimes. My sub has expired, I'll not be renewing for a long while, if ever.

Which campaign? I assume Gray Host because the “behavioral changes” have pretty much made Blackreach empty when I play. Enough players have left that we have only one busy campaign now.

It was really bad for me right after the latest update: crashes, freezes multiple times in an hour, but lately things have settled down and it’s better for me personally. I don’t play after 5pm MST though, which would be prime time for east coast I guess.

Tonight in GH I got two dc's & one freeze that I had to force close the game just to meet the group I play with in Cyrodiil. About 25min of load screens, freezes, login, & gh queue.

But...once in, it was one of the best pvp nights in a long time. Great fights & good times.

I’m on PS4 Pro. It’s about 5 years old but I’ll tell you: I switched my stock ps4 pro hard drive with an SSD and let me tell you, it’s like night and day difference in PVP. I also upgraded my router (my LAN slot is broke so I cannot use wired) and that also helped out so much. Those routers your ISP provides you are HORRIBLE. My game experience in pvp is amazing now.

Hopefully PS5 will deliver a better experience like that when I get one.

Still, I’ve played on my Pro for a while (meaning the exact same console) and performance has degraded, so I can’t blame my hardware for everything. Even in PvE areas other players are black silhouettes and they didn’t used to be. I have wired internet so no wi-fi.
