What is your favorite type of mount?

It definitely depends on the character I pair it with.

My most "interesting" opinion about mounts is probably that while I like the look of some of the indriks, I hate the sound they make. It sounds like a dirty windshield wiper.

    Senches (big cats)
Senche/wolves/horses/guar are all fine, because they have mostly nice smooth animations. I can't handle the up/down weird uneven-ness of camels without feeling a bit ill after a while, and indrik and bears have a bit of this to them as well.

As the question says, what is your favorite type of mount?

As you can see from the options, this is not about the variety within mount types, I am interested in the base type, not what skin for it you prefer. Personally like many of you I imagine which mount you use depends on which of your characters you are playing, and thematically a different mount you have may work better for certain characters, etc. But like me I am also sure many of you have an underlaying favorite...

For instance I use my golden glowing Psijic Guar on a few characters cos it looks awesome, but would I rather it was a Psijic Senche? Very much so. I use the red ghostly blood horse for a couple of my vamps, but would I rather it was a Senche? Yes again. Senche are my favorite mount type (cos I love cats basically).

Apologies if I missed any and thank you for your participation

OMG I forgot wolves, what a complete nincompoop. Sorry folks :( Please do comment if the option you prefer is not listed.

Thanks to everyone for voting and commenting so far.

    Bears
I pretty much cant say anything other than bear for obvious reasons. Haha

Admittedly, I like the way cat's ride a bit better, but I almost always ride Bears. My crafter does rock the stripped Senche. She is old school and it feels like it mounts/dismounts a bit better for harvesting, but no idea if its actually the case.

    Guar/Kagouti
I'm all about lore friendly and immersive mounts. But I also despite the horse models (A kingdom for a nice horse!), so I sadly don't use them much, despite wanting to and the fact that they would be the most common mount.

But mainly my characters ride on whatever suits them. My redguard rides a camel, my dunmer rides a nix-ox, another dunmer and an argonian rides a kagouti, the imperials ride horses despite the awful models, and my other characters often end up riding guars, because I love them. So cute yet ugly. Cugly if you may. Waiting to get the welwa for my orc.

Guars and kagouti are my personal favourites. Their models are nice, their running and jumping animation is nice, and the butt slap for the sprint is simply fantastic.

They have excellent movement. And when you say "jump", they say "how high"

Unlike the horse, which trips over sidewalk cracks.
    That's it, that's all.

I like lots of different types but senche is my favorite. I like to match my mount to my characters though and senche isn't always appropriate for that. I haven't tried a camel yet but I'd love to get an exotic one eventually.

    Horses
I like all the mounts but find myself using various horses the most. It's not for realism (one of my favorites is the gloomspore horse) just something about their overall design. Part of it is auditory. They're relatively quiet to summon and make a nice, low-key cloppity-clop noise while I ride.

I like horses and senches about equally, followed by imdrik/elks and wolves equally. Then guars, constructs, insects, etc.

I dislike camels and especially bears because they make me feel motion sick.

I find it weird when Khajiit mount Senches. I get the cat theme but they are basically mounting their brothers (Senche-raht) or cousins (wild Senches). It's the equivalent of seeing an Imperial ride a Breton... You ride a species you deem lesser rather you, otherwise it wouldn't be your pet. From a lore pov it would make more sense for Dunmer and Altmer to ride senches.

Anyway, Indriks are cool. Elks are ugly. nuff said.

Eh, the horses in ESO.... are not very well done. I'm a long-time horsewoman - there is not one horse mount in this game that I use... because whoever modeled them has NO IDEA about how horses look or move.

Horses in this game are a travesty of the real animal. They were no better in Skyrim - but @AlienSlof fixed that, at least for Skyrim.

I only have the free senche from some event giveaway a while back since I don’t buy crates. I would love the ability to buy some more in game with gold.

I also like the Nix-Ox I got with Morrowind because he’s different, and the Ebon Dwarven Wolf from the Antiquities because it was a lot of effort to obtain and he’s cool.

Riding a senche is like driving a sports car.

Spider is like your family SUV. Very stable and no wobbly movement a la indriks.

Horse is your VW Golf Polo. Safe, dependable but not very fun to ride.

Camel is a penny-farthing with a wheel coming loose.

Actually not indriks, only great elk, shadow elk, black stag and hailcinder elk. Indriks have too small antlers and too big tails for my liking.
