I'm unable to update the game. The Launcher is giving me an error 104 stating it cannot detect enough room on my drive.

I have a 1TB SSD with 736GB FREE (This is where eso is installed). I had no issues with the last update and really don't want to uninstall and reinstall the whole game.

What can I do.

Error 104 is often due to an anti-virus program blocking the patch. In some circumstances, the exception will need to be removed and re-added back as an exception to your antivirus program.

The application files that may require exceptions are:
    • Bethesda.net_launcher: C:\Program Files (x86)\ZenimaxOnline\Launcher
    • ESO.exe: C:\Program Files (x86)\ZenimaxOnline\The Elder Scrolls Online\game\client\eso.exe
    • ESO64.exe: C:\Program Files (x86)\Zenimax Online\The Elder Scrolls Online\game\client\eso64.exe
    • Steam.exe: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steam.exe

Some antivirus programs require entire folders to be selected instead of a single file. When this is the case, the file paths below are what players should use. If required by the anti-virus program, include all subfolders since every file is critical to run the game.
    • C:\Program Files (x86)\Zenimax Online\The Elder Scrolls Online\
    • C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\

There are some additional troubleshooting steps for Error 104 in the thread below.

Can't repair the client with 40GB free, not enough disk space error (104) - edit: error 1112 and 210

Sadly I ended up finding this information AFTER I had followed the instructions on the link provided on the LAUNCHER stating to reinstall the game.

This information needs to be added to that page as a first step.

HOWEVER, another problem I am having is the Launcher has to be repaired every day, otherwise it won't let me play. Thankfully, this doesn't take a long time, but it is very annoying.

All exceptions to the game and the files you mentioned have been added.
