Does anyone know when we can expect PTS patch notes for the next major update? What is the usual waiting time between such updates? I'm mainly interested in seeing what balance changes ZOS is planning to implement. Thanks!

There are 4 major updates a year, each getting a PTS cycle 1-2 months before launch.

Im a bit out of the loop on ESO updates atm, but its pretty safe to assume there will be a new PTS cycle early next year, probably Jan. Makes no sense to push a new PTS when in 2-3 weeks in the middle of the cycles everyone is going to break up and go on holiday.

Expect the next dungeon pack patch notes for PTS sometime in late January.

I think that the next patch notes should actually be coming out very soon, likely in mid/late December with the next release in early February.

Markarth came out November 1st and each PTS is 6 weeks long so it's easy math.

There's no past precedent for that, @YandereGirlfriend.

ZOS has always released Q1 PTS content after the chapter announcement at the beginning of the year.

I don't think a December PTS patch is in the cards ... with ZOS employees still working at home and Holiday plans with family and friends.

new patch better just includes fixes for all the actuall problems that eso has, but we know what will come.

Almost no fixes, new shiny stuff, blah story ^^.

Would be nice if they would at least update the bugfest currently on the PTS.

The 2021 Global Reveal event will be on 21 January, which is a Thursday. They will announce the title of at least the 2021 Q1 DLC and the Q2 Chapter, the Q3 and Q4 titles will likely come later. The PTS with the Q1 dlc will probably start on the next Monday, so 25 January, with patch notes either on the same day or Sunday, the day before.

I highly doubt they will release the PTS patch notes before their big "Year in advance revealment" which I believe is slated for the 21st of Janurary. I wouldn't expect to see anything before then....

The quarters aren't broken up quite equally--winter is usually a bit longer. The PTS cycle 4 quarters ago started January 20th, so January 25th (after the reveal event) is the best guess.

25th Jan would be the expected date but it looks like the PTS was just updated so I imagine there will be some more info datamined at some point before that.

This one is sure she recalls that at least once before there was PTS content to test sometime over Fishmas ....

Maybe that was a long time ago though.

Are the next series of patches going to change the crit system..I kind of want the heavy crit meta in pve to die a bit and something new replace it.
