Cross healing from offense-oriented builds is hampered for most classes because virtually everyone is wearing proc sets, and therefore has lower spell damage, max magicka, and possibly sustain. My off healing on Magicka Necromancer was never particularly good, but it's certainly a lot worse than it was a few patches ago.Waffennacht wrote: »Healers r huge in BGs; they can swing things easily there.

I've had the opposite experience in BGs. Maybe in a premade a dedicated healer could work but I still think crosshealing DPS might be preferable. Certainly in solos I feel like a dedicated healer is a detriment.
I know you're on NA so maybe it's just a meta difference. But on EU people build super tanky and having a dedicated healer just means fights lasting even longer. This might be okay if deathmatch comes up but in objective game modes it just leads to dragging out fights on objectives while the 3rd team who isn't involved in your fights just captures objectives with no contest. That's been my experience when I play my healblade, anyway. And I say this as someone who is usually a healer in MMOs. If I'm gonna heal, I think I'd rather play a Warden or pet Sorc who can cross heal a bit.

StamWardens who can heal whilst running backwards after charging with SubAssault are still absolutely critical. Typically, the quality of a group larger than 4 players is mainly decided by the abilities of the Bombblades first, and StamWardens second. The StamWardens are the ones who can and must safe the group from a countercharge.
It is indeed quite hillarious to see inexperienced groups where the StamWardens continue whirlwinding into the void whilst the group behind them straggles and struggles, instead of turning around and healing them. After 3+ years, one could expect that people have at least learned the basics of their class.
That being said, I think the time of pure healers in Cyro is over, as mass spamming regeneration seems to be the meta.
