So I have done some searching, watching videos, even posting on Reddit for the answer, and without an honest 100% answer, I decided to start this thread to not only get the answer but to help anybody in the future that has this problem so they, hopefully, don't have to sit through days of waiting on support to resolve the issue! (It's excruciating, believe me.)
So why can we not manually change our linked accounts on Stadia?
So a little background. I bought the Greymoor CE because of the sale, and when I open it up to play, I realize I bought it on my other Stadia account. (Which was fine, I got an extra 10 dollars off on my purchase.) I figured I'd have to change my linked account because of this, so I thought nothing of it. I went to the website, unlinked the account, and linked my new one... Error. It wouldn't let me link my new account! So, I went to Reddit, searched this forum, did some googling, and all I found was an official statement saying "If you linked a Stadia account and The Elder Scrolls Online account incorrectly, please contact Customer Support for further assistance. Well, I thought I'd contact Zenimax so I could finally play the game. Fast forward 36 hours later, and I got a response to another ticket that I filed after I filed for my linked account problem? So I assume something's up with the queue. Regardless, I still never figured out why we can't unlink and link different accounts ourselves.
