This has been an ongoing issue since the beginning of the game. The first year of ESO, I repeatedly made comments that there were such people around who do these things. I warned then that it would only get worse if the issues were not addressed quickly and decisively. I guess that was just too much to ask for.

Bots are actually good for the game. Lowers the price of mats. Jmo

On each thread about bots someone says this and I don't really understand the logic. At least on PC NA when prises are on the rise always.

The same reason why strawberries and grapes are so cheap irl.

On PC, I doubt they put their mats in the guild trader. They either vendor them for gold or sell then for real money on their website. The former has no impact, the latter removes demand, but probably not enough to matter.

Sense beta all i seen constant cheating from pc to xbox to even ps4 ... As players constantly deny this no matter how many post where made and how many post i read get booted by the Mods or players lashing out on the person doing the post it's a constant issue that has been ignored for a long time.

I been watching studying this majority off the cheaters make up accounts all lv 5 gamer scores no friends no post just a new account they open up multiple accounts like this do bot farming . For those that still say it's un true just travel to a few locations you see for yourself...
Now these same bot farmers are all in guilds just yesterday i went to different locations across the game i noticed 29 stacks raw material 200 per stack 6k-13k i checked out the sellers gamer tag lord and be hold lv 5 gamer score no friends and i forget to mention all these use high elf sorcerers multiple copies of pets and copies of the host soun true i bet huh ?

Again got screenshots to provide this information it's been going on for years... Now back too the guild shops i traced this player to multiple different guilds all the same results 29 stacks 200 per stack raw materials multiple guild shops .. And theres more who are doing this i even heard som are trying to make money selling this on the web usd.... I seen this done on other mmo accounts even players selling their accounts ... It's a constant issue i don't see why these companies can't track the offenders ip addresses simply block them thaat would resolve a lot there itself that's what i would've done if i ran a company..

If you played since beta then you should know that once you report them Zos will send them to oblivion. They do stop cheaters just have to report them.

I imagine that if there were no bots - actual characters played by real people would be able to succussfully farm their own materials in a shorter period of time rather than getting fed up and resorting to the bot-supplied mats to be able to do their own crafting and writs.

But hey, I'm just a player who spends more time farming for nodes that the bots keep cleaned out.

Craglorn is the place to go then my friend. I used to farm a lot, while I was drinking the morning coffee, I only stopped because my mornings got busier. Craglorn is such a large zone that you can find a section that no one has touched in a while and farm to your hearts content. Or do what I did which was pick either clockwise or counter clockwise and work my way around the map. Harvesting everything I saw, I even change the inputs so I could walk and harvest with just mouse buttons. I would literally be playing one handed. The harvest speed nerf sucks but it's just a small thing. Why Craglorn? it's the only zone you can get Nirncrux from and you get it from harvesting any node even fishing. It is also densely packed with resources, especially if you can hit it at low population times.

    Cheaters are only because:

Base game cost !!! It cost less than 5 dollars in my region !

But Eso + costs 3+ times more.

They are not make game for peoples - ut is better have more base game cost but less on Eso +

People who buy game for 5 dollars will never buy Eso + or just farm gold and buy it by gold.

But people who use bots will BOT - because if they get bunned and get more than they lose - they will do it !!!

If bot gets 10 dollars and when get bunned they lose 5 dollars - they will do it untill you make cost 15 dollars !

To many players and server can not take them all - why such costs on base game ???

If you want players play make regional cost on game 15 dollars, but make Eso + , not Crowns easier to buy !!!

To let people who want to play make it simpler, not just buy bot and bot for money !!!

Actually you can't buy ESO+ by gold, it can't be gifted

The prices keep going up as gold devalues. I honestly don't know where all the gold is coming from but is clear that it is devaluing therefore I will only resume selling mats when I have enough of them accumulated that it is highly unlikely that I will ever burn through them.

If enough people have realised this - that gold devalues month on month while the rate at which we accrue and require mats remains unchanged - it could explain the prices remaining high and steadily climbing.

Less supply and devaluing currency I mean.

zos prints the gold like countries print currency. there is no finite supply at zos' end. they give you gold in your daily calendar rewards, or stuff you can turn into gold. all the stuff you vend? printed gold right into your pocket. it is very easy to make gold in this game, and zos just prints however much we need. perhaps some of you should apply this to your COUNTRY.

What I want to know is what OP is going on about re: allegation there are apparently so many players denying bot farmers exist?

    OP said:
"As players constantly deny this no matter how many post where made and how many post i read get booted by the Mods or players lashing out on the person doing the post it's a constant issue that has been ignored for a long time."

Putting aside his other assertions about who is or isn't a bot farmer just because they put stacks up for sale, the above allegation is what I find most confusing.

Is there seriously some cabal of players who deny bot farmers exist in ESO? There's tons of debates about what to -do- about those bots and both farmers, but in a forum where players disagree about almost everything, Iv'e seriously never read one single instance where someone legitimately thinks there are no bots or bot farmers in ESO.

Not every low level account selling items is a bot. If your main account happens to be in more social guilds who don't have traders or you just happen to sell more than what 5 guilds can offer as trade slots why not start a 2nd or 3rd account?
  • SirCyanideRose
ZOS IS fixing this problem right now! The best fix available for botters. They just take the megaservers down. Bots can't bot if the servers are down. Problem solved..... ;)

If bots are adhering to market prices, this helps stabilize prices. What would happen if there were no bots and materials would start to dry up? People will offer more, and people will sell for more because they will be bought. What increases prices the most is when guilds buy every of an item on the guild traders and eventually raise prices themselves. Flooded markets prevent guild's from inflating prices.

I thought that sort of thing could only ever happen with an Auction House  ! No, I never bought that argument either!

I've been playing since launch/beta, and ZOS says that they do this, but I remain unconvinced of the larger picture. Yes, they were super aggressive about it in the first couple of months after launch. It was so bad, I left after my free 30 days until they fixed it. They did. For a while. Now, I am not so sure. Definitely, if they can prove a link to RMT. If they cannot... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Denies? Not so much. Defends? Much more common. Don't care? Rules the day.

Drats. Missed it. ZOS needs to configure the forum to auto-lock posts after 90 days or so.

I don't like bots either but don't assume all of the sellers are bot farmers. Last time I looked I personally had 30k to 50k of each base matt ( ain't looked in a year or more). I farmed all of them myself over the last 7 years trying to get upgrade matts.

As far as having lots of mats, the seller could be a flipper. They visit a guild trader that is sitting in the middle of nowhere and buy up cheap mats like 30 Columbine for 150 each, then flip it to 400 each on a major city like Grahtwood.

Cheaters and hackers are very rare, they’re mostly in pvp. What they do is they alter a tiny amount of base stat, barely noticeable but still gives an advantage in pvp. Just like how half of the gamers who do speedruns, alter files and stats. There is currently no known duplication glitch or exploit.

The best money making imo is pvp hands down. Run with a Zerg in Cyro for a week, flip keeps and resources for alliance points. It doesn’t take long to achieve 10-20 million alliance points. When the golden vendor comes out, buy every gold jewelry and deconstruct them for mats if no one wants to buy them. You can sell the Chromium plating or gold out your jewelry. If you solo 1vx and wonder why you’re getting a tiny 1.5k alliance points Every time you capture a resource, it’s because you’re solo’ing and not grouped up.

Alliance spell pots is another tricky business if you have a lot of alliance points. If there is 1 guild trader in a major city that is selling stacks and stacks of alliance spell pots, another guild trader is going to sell them for cheap. It’s the most undercut item in the game, not worth the investment imo.

The ultimate best way to farm mats, especially alchemy mats is farming tel var. Again pvp money making. Whether you love pvp or hate it. Those herb satchels give amazing alchemy mats. One day I decided to use 50 alchemy surveys and spend 300k tel var on herb satchels. I ended up getting a stack of 20k Columbine. I forgot how much I got for the other alchemy mats but Columbine is what was important to me.

Don’t ever spend tel var on item sets, because the most wanted set pieces have the same rng as Inferno Medusa. Powerful Assault Ice staff for example, a casino gambling addiction lol. Better to spend all your tel var on herb satchels.
