We've all had the odd DD elitist in our pugs shouting at everyone not doing their job etc.. But never(in ~1year) have I experienced a healer badmouthing the dps and tank. Healers are usually the most supportive players giving all help and advice they can to the group.

Today in my daily random we got a healer constantly complaining about how [snip] we were and how bad we s*ck... Our group were otherwise very nice to each other while we held our noses, gritted our teeth and ignored his insults and tried helping each other. My impression of our healer was that of someone only there to farm gear to use in PvP and he couldn't care less about PvE or pugging. He kept yapping about how he wants this or that piece of gear while treating us like [snip]
End of run I told him he won't get anything from me because of his bad behavior. Afterwards I'm thinking we should have kicked the guy instead of tolerating him freeloading his gear farming on our group. What do you think? Would you have kicked him?

I would not even have bothered to kick a person with that attitue. I would have just left the group. Some people just need to be left alone to their rage.

People. We're why we can't have nice things.

I've had one memorable healer with a bad attitude who was an actual healer, not a fake. And while I found his derogative comments in chat dreadfully annoying as a real tank, I couldn't hold much of a grudge because as we really were doing more damage than either of our two DDs. We ended up leaving them dead during the final Crypt of Hearts 1 fight because they would not obey the mechanics and finished it ourselves. Not something I do often, and I detested admitting that the jerk had a point, but he did.

I wouldn't report someone for just being an A$$, we can always just choose not to play with someone like that. I'd only report someone if they harass me to the point that I can no longer log in or play the game without getting stalked.

I frequently find myself doing more damage as a healer, and sometimes even as a tank, than random DDs in normal dungeons. That is not a reason to be toxic. I don't even comment on it in normal mode, unless people ask for advice, or if it's so bad that the fights take forever and I need to leave. In vet mode, if the group DPS is clearly too low to be able to clear the dungeon at all, I tell people that it is a DPS problem before I take my leave, but I always give it a few tries. I have had some really nice runs healing inexperienced and struggling groups through vet DLC dungeons, often making friends and recruiting guild mates in the process.

People with no patience should probably not play tank or healer in random groups.

In the OPs scenario your decision to just leave would inconvenience the other two good players.

I know. I'm sorry to say it, but I just don't have the energy to care. I'm too old for that, and I prefer not to spend time bothering with jerks. I do not play a game to get involved in drama.

Well, it was kind of nice of the healer to not leave the group considering that you guys weren't any good. :p And it was nice of you to not kick since clearly the healer was only doing a half-a job at being an a-hole. ;) I'm glad to hear that everyone made it through the entire dungeon as a group. Personally, when I role-play as an a-hole healer, I leave the group just before a boss after telling them all to die.

I've only encountered one rude healer in my PUG experience and he was...something else.

It was vICP HM and the healer only had around 12k health so of course he couldn't stay alive and he didn't understand the synergy mechanic to avoid the boss' one-shot. The fight was taking much longer than it needed since our DPS spent most of the time rezzing the healer instead of attacking the boss. It eventually got to the point where we just left him dead and continued on with the fight since we had enough self-heals for the fight. By the end of the fight he was yelling at us (in all caps) to rez him and that we were being useless teammates. The irony of him calling US useless was incredibly funny. After the dungeon was finished he continued sending me messages about how useless of a teammate I was so I pointed out to him that it wasn't my fault he only had 12k health and didn't understand the mechanics to the fight despite the fact that we repeatedly explained them to him. I then mailed him some Witchmother's Brew to let him know that he should be using food such as that, but he then blocked me and declined the mail.

Yes, indeed! Healers are the best, always helpful. Except for this one instance. Never thought someone would queue as a healer and behave like that, and then demand we trade our loot after acting like an A-hole....

If he doesn't want to learn, it's up to him.... At least he blocked you instead of stalking and hating on you whenever you log on. I think he just felt you guys didn't think he was important enough to rez(which was probably true since you could self-heal and continue the fight without healer...). Maybe he'll be president some day and feel really important?

Ooh, I have one. I had a healer in vet Banished Cells 1 inform me in party chat just before the final boss that my DPS was crappy. Why she decided it was me and not the other DPS or the two of us combined, I'm not sure. She spent most of the ensuing HM fight on the floor, because apparently you don't have to be a good healer to call someone else a bad DPS.

Each role can have toxic players I don't really come across such toxic players when on my main DPS or alt DPS. But when I'm on my Healer I come across more a--hole tanks who either instantly dip on the group or get toxic with DPS.

Supports have it worse in PUGs, but they should know that better than anyone, and either not use the finder and go premade, or be prepared to do some damage. That's how it is in the group finder, for better or worse, so if they go in and just complain throughout, that's their own fault.

-Weired... I main a tank and I tough it out with whatever I get in my pug. Most pugs have enough dps if they work together and just dump the damage where it needs to go.. Mechanics is usually the big pug-breaker, not dps..

I have a number of characters that I play. I have a dedicated healer that I only play with friends and friends of friends. The main reason for being a dedicated healer is because she depends on the tank and DPS' to protect her and in return she is expected to at least keep everyone healed.

We have gone into situations where we didn't have either a good amount of DPS, know the mechanics well enough, etc. and we called it with everyone in agreement. Almost, also with a vow to come back another day and try again. But I would never want to take her out again with a random group of people not knowing their skill. The few times I have, I found its really hard to heal dead people.

I guess I have been lucky that someone took the time to teach me how to be a decent healer and its rewarding when others who would like to make a healer come and ask advice.

Last of all I guess that the only thing that really gets my goat is queuing as a DPS and getting a fake healer. I don't mind someone who is trying to learn, but to go into a random dungeon with a supposed healer to find out they don't even have a resto staff and maybe only one healing skill (and this at CP level) doesn't sit well with me.

So here's to a long life dungeon crawling with a good healer :-)

For a second...I was like that sounded like run... But I instead it was banished cells 2 vet and we had like 7 deadroths. ...it definitely was a dps problem.

Ofc we can, it happen to me too over the time.
Was used to tolerate a lot of different player level and attitude, carry the most I can by slotting dps skill/gear or even Taunt and Tank when needed, explaining strat all this kind of thing.

    But I just can't anymore.
To much people are just dumb, doesn't matter how much you help or explain, LOT of player don't care at all and expect a carry.

When I was finding myself to be angry while playing I just stopped, stopped, pug, and now stopped healing, I'm now a solo player and do most dg hm way faster alone than with some group I had.

I've clear every vdg/trial trifeca (execpt gh/gs no time for that sadly) so not really sad to stop healing in this game.
Good player don't need us anyway, and with pale order...

When I wanna group as support I play with guild and friend only.

Yes, I think in your case it's probably best. You're supposed to have fun playing the game, not get angry or irritated.. I find pugging quite fun actually, part of the challenge is to get people who have no clue to work together and figure stuff out. You need a lot of patience for that of course. Some dungeons can take many hours to clear...

I can be an a$$hole healer if theres another player ignoring mechanics or standing in stupid after pointing it out to them numerous times. If it happens and they arent with the group ill purposely stop healing them.
