Wayrest Sewers 2, Crash at Garron the Returned

Entire group crashed 3 times in a row while attempting this boss, dungeon cannot be completed.

I had the same experience yesterday. We tried it 4 times. Near instant crash each time. Tried with and without addons. Even tried engaging, but only light attacking. Crash each time, for at least 2 members of the group. The remainder wiped quickly on each attempt.

I'd better word it that most (all?) lich npc's are crashing people since patch again using some abilities.

Same, we've crashed 3 times. All players screens completely freeze up, I end up having to reboot. I submitted a bug report.

This is a known issue with a lot of lich bosses (and sometimes necromancer-types too).

This *may* be the bug that can be worked around by pressing V to switch into third-person mode: you shouldn't have to do that, but are you trying it anyway? I've hit this bug with...
- Mezeluth (Crypt of Hearts 2),
- the lich-queen in the Fighters Guild quest line (particularly annoying since that part has to be done solo)
- Garron (Wayrest Sewers 2)
- Dread Lich (Dolmen mini-boss)
- Shiri and Suturah, final part of Alikr Desert zone quest (can't remember which, one is a necromancer, the other a lich)

My group crashed three times too - a complete wipe then I crashed and didn't get the boss counted for the quest

Happened to me 2 times in a row today. Same boss, Garon. My screen froze and had to kill the exe. No bug report appeared.

It doens't work for me. Tried it without any addon and cannot finish boss before crash. I crashed 5 times in a row.

Just had this happen twice. Froze and I restarted and when I got back in, dead mind you, I froze again after 30 seconds. Never even got raised.

Did this today with group of 2. My screen froze, I rebooted and came back dead. The other group member did not freeze and rezzed me and we finished the boss.

Indeed:
Mostly, when Garron uses his Ultimate (green stroboscope lights),
some people get a DC.

I ran this dungeon with several toons,
and there is ALWAYS at least one disconnecting player.
Once even 3 guys DC'ed...

This boss is almost unplayable since U28.

I tried with 4 groups, couldn't finish it because of crash.

Tried without any addon and lowest graphics.

I have had the same issue - 4 times now its hung. Put that on top of the 20+ Drops I have had since this patch and I am considering cancelling my subscription and finding a stable game

Joining this "select group" myself.
Tried 4 times on the 13th of Nov, Friday, at 20 UTC. Ok, I blamed the event, rush hour, the weekend, etc.
Tried 3 times again approx. 3 hours later, exactly the same results.
It crashes for the whole group at the same boss.
No ping spikes, no lag. It just freezes the image on the screen, but the music continues. Logout from Windows is the fastest way to recover.
Those 3 hours I played with with another char, just not this dungeon, no problem whatsoever (at least none noticed).
@ZOS: why is this not on the known issues list?

One more confirmation of the above behavior. Full 4-person crash to desktop in Wayrest II on Garron earlier today. Spent some time away, came back with a new group, and same behavior re-appeared. The likelihood that seven different players in two different instances each had an identical addon/GPU configuration is vanishingly small.

So after crashing multiple times we've just given up on this pledge. Here's my suggestion, don't make the pledge a dungeon that crashes the game to the point you have to reboot windows repeatedly. I would ask that you fix the game but let's not get crazy, here. Just don't assign things you know are broken while your team of crack programmers work on fixing the bugs.

Update 14. Nov: disabled all addons and queued for this specific dungeon
- 1st try - no crash for me but one other player in the group got dc'd; I asked him/her if he/she has addons installed, the answer was "no";
- 2nd try - hard crash for me again, seconds after the boss fight started, but at least 2 group members (not sure about the 3rd) managed to finish the boss without disconnecting;

So it does NOT look to be addon-related.

- 3rd try, some 2 hours later: we start the fight and the other 3 group members disconnect almost simultaneously, some seconds after the start of the fight; I did not; I wait for them to log back in, ask them to disable all addons and libraries and reloadui; I start the fight again and within 10 seconds it crashed for me too;

Still happening, this last update causes this at random times in other dungeons but this boss it's impossible to complete

Fang Lair, Scalecaller, Wayrest, Banished Cells, Arx Corinium, etc all cause endless loops of DCs. These are the worst issues I've seen in a while. This whole patch has wrecked so much of this game

Two days ago three in my group had their games freeze so bad they had to force their PCs to restart. I was the only one that was not affected. They froze right after we started the fight.

The next pull was just fine.

Doesn't look like it's their priority to fix...
