Anyone else upset over dealing with Thews of the Harbinger builds?

It’s too bad they nerfed fury and original seventh legion when all people had to do was just stop hitting me so I wouldn’t do damage

I was just thinking some of these sets remind me of 7th before they put a CD on the heal. Or how many "thorn" abilities that got nerfed.

Yeah; the build benefits bad players who can tape down a right mouse button. So of course they will cling to life to defend it. It’s not even deadly more so than it’s just annoying and make encounters unfun. I see more and more everyday; and even more 40k hp crimson wardens. Just a virtual battlefield of people afraid to die.

Just wait until they start stacking it with the new Radiant Bastion set!

that set is actually trash, and a trap. it scales on damage taken (with a cap) so the more tanky you are the less effective it is, if you take 1k damage, you return 100, if your trying to rock that with pale order, you heal for 19.

    trash.

harbinger is far better though, as it scales with your hp, but its a completely reactive style. i noticed more people are catching on to tanks in general and just ignoring them.

I've been rocking a frostwatcher + harbinger + bloodlords embrace combo on my warden and i gotta say its insanely fun and trolly, frozen device ticks people off so much getting pulled from their fight right in my face. The blizzard from frostwatcher and impaling shards offers decent damage / cc and maim on top of harbinger.

I've given the response of just don't fight them in the past and using stuns that go through block, but after actually fighting a competent person with this set on a health stacking necromancer in battlegrounds..... oh dang I was not prepared for that lol.

The only reason we could kill him was because I was voice chat with my team thanks to the fact ZOS returned group queues and we managed to ult drop him after I used fossilized on him. The worst part was when he activated his Ravenous Goliath ultimate and now we were dealing with a 70k HP target with a damage aura that scaled off health and Thews alongside it.

The best counter is to not fight but when these people throw their weight around and get in your face sometimes you have no choice but to fight them, and without proper coordination or a overwhelming zerg you're not going to be having fun.

DK wings died for this. :'(

Yes, to think they destroyed this mechanism in wings (which was only 6 seconds of reflected spells) and created an endless mechanism with Thews.

And fire scale only reflects projectiles, not every direct damage
3 GOs, a General, and bunches of prefects etc-- all classes...I've wasted a lot of time in PVP

The solution is not attacking them, they can't do anything if you don't attack them.
Even PvErs are able to stop damaging depending on mechanics so you should be too

You are pve its okay to stop damage boss but pvp where is key to success is do not Fight each other is super boring especialy in flag bgs these sets are most toxic since release...

Honestly...I AM one of "those" players and while I LOVED Harbinger and rocked it for a little bit, it's usefullness wears out quick and it really doesn't hit THAT hard. Reading what everyone is saying, I'm honestly thinking alot of y'all are getting hit with a maxed out version of spiked bone-shield. My bone shield will hit you for 20,000 if you have that to throw at me.

I always roll with around 50-53k health which pumps up Harbinger, but even with that much life, Harbinger only gives a 3500-4000 hit. Yeah. multiple hits will increase big, but you have to have the stamina to block it. I just dont like relying on block to get the pain in to the player only to find out Ive exhausted my stamina in other ways. Multiple hits coming from multiple places will run that out quick if you're using skills as well. Harbinger CAN bring the pain, but you get sooo much more bang for your buck if u just remember to keep bone shield up.

When I first started using Harbinger, I thought that was the killer, but it's actually the bone shield that's a killer. I ended up replacing Harbinger with the Crimson set from the Castle Thorn dungeon.

The one thing I don't like about Crimson is that there is a second pause before it fully procs so I have to make sure I keep close during that second. I have that paired with Thunderbug which is great, but only procs on physical damage so almost useless against mages. I'll switch it out with Harbinger if Im going into a situation where I know itll be mage heavy or I may switch it for Cyrodills crest (I think Im remembering the right name...the one that gives you life when you block).

What I have learned from playing back and forth with this build is that I really don't like using the stamina it takes to block in order to proc the sets. Crimson and Thunderbug both proc from taking damage. I really want a better set than Thunderbug but it does great against stamina builds, which I honestly come upon more of so its worth it to me to just keep it on for now.

To emphasize...I REALLY think the mass damage some of ya'll are taking are coming from a suped up spiked bone shield. I've killed a many a pvp'er who came up on me trying to one shot kill me with their ultimate only to watch them fall dead, and I wasnt wearing Harbinger and my sets didnt have enough time to fully proc.

    ...and yes...I smiled quite large.
