Why not just pick a class that was available to play in previous elder scrolls games?

    Monk
    Knight
    Battlemage
    Crusader
    Rogue
    Warrior
    Spellsword

    etc.

We need a REAL ranged class. 28m does not feel like ranged gameplay, ESP with a bow.

If you get longer range, you also get lower damage.. so it would not really make a huge difference

No more classes pls, the unbalance zos made with warden and then with necro was just terrible terrible. Id rather they give us a weapon line or some such to complement each class' playstyle in some ingenious way.

I don't know about lore, but to get around the complications wrt making this class work with weapon lines you could scrap the idea of making it a class at all, and instead make it a skill line that only works if you're unarmed.

Obviously this means you're losing set piece slots on one bar not to mention a weapon line so there would have to be a significant benefit to manifesting a Shehai. Effectively this would be similar to slotting a two-piece weapon set on one bar, except instead of getting set bonuses you gain access to a skill line.

From the get-go, you would have a long buff active ability that manifests your Shehai and a passive that would convert your unarmed light and heavy attacks into Shehai light and heavy attacks. The rest, idk. Maybe a total of two or three abilities are for manifesting different weapons, and two or three take on different effects depending on which Shehai you've manifested. But rather than create a whole new class this could help patch the many, many holes in existing classes.

    No thanks

I am sick and tired of things being taken away from the current classes to be given to the new class to make it OP

I could see the developers adding a sword singer skill line, much like the psijic skill line. I don’t know that a full class is necessarily a good fit, since classes are required to fulfill any of the three roles and accommodate stamina and magicka characters.

Sword Singers are both warriors and mages. If anything the art of sword singing is using song to bend the fabric of reality to create and control magically constructed blades. Think of it like conjuration and alteration magic wrapped up into a terrifying display of power.

Sword Singer skill line! Not sure how a whole new class of sword singer would work.

Personally I would like the addition of a class that's more about magically enhanced physical abilities. (Atm only stamblade qualifies IMHO).

I fear ZOS, though, is much more likely to make such a new class yet another full on elemental mage (probably an 'air mage' or something).
Please stop making requests for game features. ZOS have enough bad ideas as it is!

Well, thankfully we aren't getting a new class.

I’d rather they added a new weapon skill line and added more class identity to the current classes.

Oblivion's no this, is a more powerful form of magic that is even leagues above the Thu'um itself. This art can destroy an entire continent. Just one sword singer using a forbidden technique destroyed Yokuda the Redguards former homeland.
This art is not something that should ever be a class. Its an extremely powerful form of magic. We are actually getting new lore on the sword singers next update. But as a playable class, no no no and double no. This is like asking for the ability to use shouts and if you read the lore on the Sword Singers you would understand that by this time its a rarer art and not only that but this is like Thu'um level types of power even more powerful potentially as just one using it in an improper manner sunk a continent.
Spoilers from Pts on how this art actually works and what is required to actually use this type of art would be problematic and likely why it went extinct to begin with .
The art itself seems to work on the similar principle that CHIM Itself works off, to use the art requires love. Without love you cannot manifest a Shehei. That means anyone doing it or most people would have to have a focus and something they care for. Besides duty or whatever they feel they have. They genuinely have to care for something other then themselves. This does seem to be the actual requirement with all the other stuff that is required for a sword saint to manifest their own spirit swords.
Sword singing, its way to powerful an art, not to mention what it takes to actually manifest a spirit sword. Plus the lore on this is clear that its an almost extinct. Its not a viable thing for them to add in and especially not for a skill line or a class.

Sword Singing and Shouting should be off limits for the player in TES Online.

No. If they make a new class, they are very likely nerfing the old classes. I'd rather they rebuild existing skill lines.

Balancing needed aside, I think there is room for more class in eso. Personally I would have thought the next class was gonna be a dwarven artificer.

    That's adding a class And a race

i say no to it as a class but as a skill line like vamo or psijic or mages guild or fighters guild it could be interesting but as stated above...its out of its time...

a class based on something super specific to one culture seems a bit weird to me.

To be fair, DKs are culturally specific to Akiviri and Wardens' pets(excluding bear) are all from dunmer regions.
As for Op, roll a Redguard stampler with 2h wearing Morkuldan( summons a flying sword) and Sword-Singer( adds 600 wpn dmg to your 2h skill line).

It would be an interesting class, and I would like it, because the specialization of this class is fencing.
However, even though this class would close the gap in the game's classes and even fit the idea that teso is a game about magicians. I don't think many players liked it.

There are 4 main archetypes in fantasy worlds. Warrior, Cleric, Mage and Thief. In Online, the Warrior archetype was not originally and is unlikely to ever be. Well, developers do not like this archetype, maybe some kind of childhood trauma. Therefore, Sword-Singers, Knight, Monk, Barbarian and other classes, at least somehow suitable for the Warrior, will never appear in the game.

P.S Just let's not, here we start on a new demagogy about "stamina builds" and builds "without class skills"

      No.

The game doesn't need more classes. It needs more weapons and the current classes could use another skill line each focusing specifically on class flavor.

They can do more than one thing at a time.
I agree and have a suggestion made for that too. ZOS will still probably add a new class next big DLC though and I hope the choose sword-singer.

Aren’t sword singers a Redguard (Yokudan) thing only?
