I completed Veteran Hel Ra for the first time on my endgame healer today, only reason my first time was not MONTHS or even a year ago is becuase of the bug with a wipe on the split boss part, which happens an awful lot in pugs with more than a few newer people.

So... why is this still a thing? Just another amazing feature they really should be advertising?
Playing your character the way your character should play is all that matters. Play as well as you can but never betray the character. Doing so would make playing an mmoRPG pointless.

    It is annoying as heck when it happens but it does not seem to happen with a high frequency. Ofc, I do not run with pugs so maybe someone is doing something that makes it happen. I find dungeon and trial runs to be so much better with a guild group. One of my guilds requires players to note if they are recruiting for a run that is not specific to our guild so we know there is a chance it could be a less than stellar group.

    It's happened 100% of the time you wipe on the up/down split bosses. if your group isn't a lot of new people you're much less likely to.

    It sounds like you have had a very bad experience with both horrendous RNG and groups which is part of the reason I do not pug. Good luck with both.

    if it was horrendous I still would not have a clear. my group today did wipe there, but I was fortunate enough that despite most of them being new to ESO endgame content, they had the decency to stick around to try again, so we did, this time gave more of our experienced dps to the bottom side, which had wiped last time, (I was healing top) and we cleared it. Warrior boss was no issue, although we had an "Oh [snip]" moment near the end we got it down fine.

    Im not familiar with the bug and I have been farming vHR for a few weeks now.

    Is it the Mag or Stam side?

    It is rare but does happen. Heck, I have been in a very casual group and were in there for over an hour because the top group kept wiping. This bug did not even pop up then.

    What was funny about that day, and drives home that the group wiped a lot. A fellow raider was flipping through various streams and had recognized my character just standing on a rock waiting on that top group to finish. An hour later, he went back to that stream and saw me still waiting and whispered to me to ask about the group because he was surprised I was in a raid that took that long to clear it. They were good people, and I even know one IRL that lives a half-hour from me.
