If you want "Guild Skills" and "Guild Quests" I can point you to the Mage's Guild, The Fighter's Guild, The Thieves Guild, The Dark Brotherhood, The Psijic Order and The Undaunted.

After playing for two years, I feel that something is missing that drives one further after you have tried 8 different races and classes of level 810.

    My ideas...

    Rise of the Guilds
In order to give guilds a real meaning in the game, in addition to a chat and rooster, it is required that the guild can offer something unique that the members of the guild themselves can work together to influence. The more the guild works together, the stronger its members become.

Guild skills are skills whose effect is only effective as long as you are a member of that guild. If you are a member of several guilds, you must choose from which guild you want to inherit skills from. You can not inherit skills from more than one guild.

Guild skills can be acquired by collecting guild skills tokens. Each skill or skill level costs a number of skill tokens. The higher the level of skill the more skill tokens are needed to upgrade to an additional level.

Guild skill tokens can be acquired by participating in a wide variety of guild specific events or quests. Only members of the guild can participate. If a group of guild members decides to make a daily pledge for, for example, Undauted, guild tokens will be automatically issued to each individual member of that group when the pledge is completed. If the group does not only consist of guild members, no tokens will be issued. There are various other events that a guild leader can choose from. For example, a guild with only guild members can do daily quests in existing dungeons. Individual guild members can register for solo quests.
There are also other daily quests to choose from.

Guild tokens cannot be transferred or sold. Guild tokens can only be transferred to the guild bank whose guild you have chosen to inherit skills from. All members of the group must inherit skills from the same guild in order for guild tokens to be issued after completing the mission.

    Equipment level 810
When a character reaches level 810, that character will be able to use level 810 equipment.

Level 810 equipment can only be crafted by characters who have been awarded the Grand Master Crafter title. Level 810 equipment can be upgraded in the same way as other equipment, from Normal to Legendary. The difference is that level 810 equipment can carry 3 traits per part instead of just one. For each equipment part crafted in level 810, a Grand Master Crafter certificate is required. These certificates can only be created by and used by a character with Grand Master Crafter status.

Level 810 equipment can be upgraded from normal to legendary by any character. Traits are fixed and cannot be changed afterwards by using transmute crystals.

Guild suggestion works for me. Similar to WoW guild ranks. Something to that extent could be interesting.

The Equipment at 810 suggestion is way too overpowered. 3 Traits per piece would be crazy.

    No.

The hardcore players have their guilds. Trying to force everyone to do content some players simply aren't interested in isn't going to do anything beyond making them drop their guilds, or drop the game.

Would be nice to see crafting be more useful, but overpowered gear isn't the way to do it.

Power creep is already an issue cp 810 gear is an abysmal idea.

This particular implementation does not seem great....however, that being said, this post(along with many others) highlights the frustration a lot of long term players feel that there is no longer any progression once you reach a certain point. Its fine that there is no vertical progression...but there is no horizontal progression either....you reach a certain point and the ONLY progression there is are the new gear sets released with the new content, most of which are slightly modified versions of older sets.

    I was like : Yes!

Then I got to the gear part and I realized you were not reasonable as I thought.

I am all for giving more value to guilds.

    For the QoL...
Official guild halls, easy ways to display guild names on your nameplate, guild standards or NPCs for your house, more finely tuned right management, especially for bank access, easier way to track sales and donations by members, etc..

    For the guild identity...
Guild related activities, either PvP or PvE quests, with a progression system unlocking guild related cosmetics/houses/titles/assistants...

But yeah, anything that will directly increase power or discourage people to queue up with random people even more would probably harm the game. It shouldn't put the solo players in difficulty.

The idea seems well intentioned, but not well thought out. There is no description of the kind of Guild skills that would be offered, so that makes the whole concept a concern.
