It can be part of antiquities, it can be sold in the guild store when somone got one, it can be crafted...

No matter how it's gonna be except crates related tehnique, I would be happy to get one. I do not gamble in games for real money so Im not buying crates but any other way is ok to me even when I have to pay for specific item and there is no other way to get it and it's not any P2W content.

Amen. It's free to travel there. Should be free to travel out.

Consider this. Free to travel there, then free to travel out. Together this would make travel to anywhere in Tamriel free of charge.

Now why are wayshrine charges in the game?

One: they’re an intentional gold sink designed to slow down wealth accumulation, particularly from farming.

And two: to encourage exploration. The second is most important as that’s what leads to players meeting others for PVE battles that foster bonds and learning. For the non-endgame that’s a key feature in retaining players. Even endgame players occasionally meet someone struggling with an enemy or world boss, they help out, and they get a thanks or so. That means a lot to players.

Can you avoid wayshrine costs? Sure if you know the system AND have friends. Free jumps from friend to friend because that fosters the chances of you meeting, playing together etc.

So take that out with free travel to a home and then free travel to any wayshrine after that. That makes all travel free within two jumps and stops players from meeting on alike adventures.

    Leave it as it is.

Better yet, free travel from a house to any wayshrine.

That circumvents the gold sink for fast travel too, @volkeswagon ... you're just adding a load screen.

I always go to the nearest wayshrine to travel. If i am in the middle of nowhere and wish to avoid paying i travel to a house near a wayshrine then go to the wayshrine. So the gold sink is already being avoided. Adding a wayshrine to houses simply reduces the loadscreen from 3 to 2. If i wish to save time i simply pay the gold for convenience.

It doesn't make any sense. You can travel to any guild memeber right where you are and then if you are not in the right point you can travel to any other wayshrine without walking at all or paying anything. Of course this is why paying for fast travel makes no sense at all and it should be gone long time ago.

How do you propose ZOS counter gold inflation in the game then, @Swordancer?

Is it something you've thought about?

Without gold sinks like wayshrine fast travel, along with new gold being introduced with may types of rewards, gold inflation goes unchecked.

If they really want to rake us over the coals, I mean maximize profits, I mean reach the highest level of sales, they should sell portals to specific locations. I'm thinking Alliance capitals and the main city in each chapter (past and present) plus Orsinium.

In WOW you get a hearthstone, two depending on your class but you can still only have one location set as your hearth. You can hearth to any inn you've set as your hearth and that's it. Mages can create portals to most capitals which is great if you're a mage, otherwise you pay a mage to port you. Other than that you get around with flight points or on your mount which can take a lot of time. But that's the nature of the game.

So coming to ESO I was surprised and already feel spoiled being able to effectively quickly travel anywhere in the world that I have already unlocked. This feels light years ahead of what i'm used to and if i'm honest makes the game world feel a bit dumbed down. Actually travelling between places "physically" adds to immersion for me. I don't get why people are complaining.

Open your collections menu and travel to an inn room in a major city.

The more houses you own, the more free travel options you have. You can literally jump from house to house to house through the collections menu without paying for anything. All the inn rooms are in a city with a wayshrine and you get the first one free.

If this anwser is to me the you should read first post content before you start advising someone how to waste more time when you can just jump to your friend or a guild member. This method require more loading screens and you also need to travel to wayshrine first to port yourself in to the right wayshrine. It doesn't make any sense.

What I meant by creating this thread is that if we already have possibility to travel for free from our house to the zone we want but it require two loading screens most of the time then we should be able to travel for free without need to jump to our friend, group or some guild member becouse it would be not only faster for us but probably better for servers too. It doesn't matter if it's wayshrine or just free port out to any wayshrine. What I want is not to waste my time more that this game already waste and it waste a lot of it with too many usless actions like for example spamming with E button to load guild history or installing and updating tons of addons becouse UI is so limited.

This is why I strategically purchased some homes, each one of these are right outside a wayshrine so you're not hitting two load screens to access the open world, Snugpod, Sugar Bowl Suite, The Erstwhile Sanctuary.

What would you do when you want to travel from your main house to the wayshrine in the middle of nowhere on the other zone?

I'll usually travel from the current house I'm in, to my Sugar Bowl house, then jump on the Wayshrine, its the house with the closest distance to a Wayshrine that I have, its not ideal but it works without paying any gold.

Currently I'm working on my library located at the Lakemire Xanmeer Manor and there are no Wayshrines near that house, so when traveling from there, I travel to the Sugar Bowl House and jump on the Wayshrine there.
