Reconstructing, what does "every single piece" mean?

Patch notes say, "It costs 75 Transmute Crystals when you only have 1 piece of that Item Set, and 25 Transmute Crystals once you have collected every single piece of that Item Set." Like, 20+ pieces??? Or like 5 pieces?

How much would it cost to reconstruct with like 5-7 known pieces? In other words is it typically going to be cheaper to reconstruct rather than transmute?

    7 Body
    3 Jewels
    4 1H
    3 2H
    3 Destro
    Resto
    Bow
    Shield

    23

5-7 will still be more expensive iirc

You need to collect all items that drop for this set. For most sets thats 22. For Arena and Monster Sets its alot less.

Its 2 jewelry, not 3, so a total of 22.

    Depends on the set.

Sets with only 1 item are immediately at 100% when you collect that item and will only cost 25 crystals.

There are also sets with 36 items. If you collect 9 of those items you're still only at 25% and each one costs 63 crystals.
    At 50% it's 50 crystals and at 75% it's 37.

sets with 36 items? so named armor/weapons count as a separate piece of the whole set? Or are you talking about the crafted sets?

No, named items only unlock the generic item from that set.

Sets with 36 items are those that have all 3 armor weights like Armor of the Trainee or Imperial Physique.

The ones with 36 come in all flavors of light, med, heavy body types. Whereas a standard set usually just comes in 1 type.

Arena weapons like Resto / Bow will only take 1, Mythics also 1.

Some sets like agility are just jewels / weapons

You'll find a wide range of sets, most follow the standard formula, some don't.

What about sets that do not drop certain pieces? How are they affected? Take the Wilderqueen set for example which does not drop any weapons other than bows anymore because the 5th piece effect is impossible to utilize without a bow.
Does this mean that the Wilderqueen set will always be more expensive to transmute because you will always be missing swords, daggers, shields, greatswords, axes, battleaxes, maces, mauls, destruction staves and restoration staves?

The same happens with Advancing Yokeda and other melee-only proc sets. No bow from these sets.

In that case it scales on 10 pieces, basically cost drops 5 cyrstals for every piece learned on one of these sets.
