Selling if not in a Guild

Are there any plans for a global auction house in ESO? Everytime I join a guild, the leaders stop playing and the guild Peter's out 😵

Try the guild finder for a trading guild. There are many active, some so active there are waiting lists.

Thanks! It would still be great to have a global auction house. Then you wouldn't have to hunt down the kiosks.

Note many social guilds also run traders at decent places as they have all sort of people.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

They are trading hubs; Rawlkha, Belkarth, Mournhold, and more. If you can't find an item at a hub, then you might have to find the individual kiosks "in the wild".

Even though some people keep saying it's impossible for guilds to get traders and a world auction house is needed, I've not seen it. Two of my guild don't care and aren't trying for a trader. Two social guilds have a trader. My trading guild has a trader.

Its incredbily easy to find a guild. And a lot of them are good guilds.

But its also incredbily easy to find a horrible guild. Zone chat in the starting zones should be proof that this is not a family friendly game when it comes to interacting with other players.

Combine that with the general competition that the bigger trade guilds have when vying for top spots, and the trading game can be down right nasty. There's simply not enough quality spots in the game for everyone to join a capital city trading guild.

There are alternatives to kiosks, but they are definitely lacking. Zone chat only works if you sell your stuff well below half of what they're worth, and even then, be prepared to wait several hours for people to actually want what you might be selling.

There are offline tools to help, but if you're not on PC, then they might as well not exist at all.

Should there be a global trader? I'd lke to think so. Would bots be a problem? They already are a problem, one that ZOS has no idea how to fix. So yes, they'd have to fix that first.

@Tallynn - there have been many threads about a GAH in this game. The bottom line seems to be that ZOS will cling to their version of trading without one until hell freezes over.

On the other hand, gold is pretty easy to make in this game (unlike WoW and RIFT) so you won't have to be broke forever. Of course that depends as well on your platform and server - if you're on PC NA, stuff is relatively affordable on the traders; if on consoles/EU, not so much.

There are economic advantages to the current system, it feels more natural, and promotes social interaction (just like the lack of an inspect feature).

If you aren't in the guild, you can't sell to the guild. You have to belong to a guild to sell to other guild members through the guild store.

Yes. If the guild doesn't have a trader/kiosk, the sales are to guild members only. If they do have a trader/kiosk, then anyone can buy.

Before I figured out the GAH in wow, it was really painful - not much gold. But that was more than a decade ago so things might be different now.

I have played wow every year since launch. I have played ESO since I think 2016. At no point in my ESO time has gold every been easier to make than in wow. Even vanilla wow was easier to make gold and all I did was PVP which does not make you gold.

I much prefer wow's system for making gold than ESO.

I prefer ESO traders to global auction.

If i had my way search would be to regional areas only, and add-ons would not track listings or sales.

Id like to see people have to go look to see prices.

How easy does it really need to be? I can make a million gold coin in a day just about any time I want. Just selling stuff I find while doing what I like to do in the game I normally hit over 100k gold a week. I'm in a trade guild that has a 3,000 gold donation requirement a week.

I wasted 3 hours last week going to every trader on the world just to find out there were no pieces of the motif I wanted currently for sale.
That is NOT ' playing the game'.

    That's Garbage.

If it's not available I should be able to find that out in a few minutes and go back to Actually Playing the Game.

I am unguilded and I easily make 50-60k a week. Just killing, looting, selling junk to merchants, and doing daily crafting writs. My gold income far exceeds my needs at this point (have a little over a million banked now). Never felt like I was left hanging.

I do the same. But simply doing Undaunted pledges on a couple characters is 10-15k (selling whites) add to that dailies in a couple of zones and you will be pulling 40-50k a week without any problems.

Right now, with the event going on in Western Skyrim, I am easily making 50k+ a day.

Pretty sure there are no plans to add a different trading system as Zos already added one. If the guild leaders of trade guilds are quitting right after you join them then you are getting some rather unique bad luck. I would suggest looking for a slightly more established trade guild to avoid such things.

Nope. They prefer shovelling everyone who wants to make money into a handful of Trading guilds and watch them all fight over prime Trader locations, sinking millions and millions on bids for said Traders.

    Economic advantages? Name one

    Keeps inflation in check.

Makes it harder for people to race to the bottom on prices.

Makes item searches faster by limiting the amount of goods at a vendor.

    -Non economic advantages.

    Promotes guilds.

    Promotes social interaction within guilds.

Have you considered contacting them for a reinvite?

Should a guild keep inactive players?

Maybe you should have let the guild know you will be back?

If you don’t play that often, what do you need gold for?

I just started leveling a new alt and just reached level 30 on it and just on that character I already have 250K in its pockets.
On a max level character just doing the 7 daily crafting writs you can get over 4500 gold which is over 30K a week.

Without selling anything on a trader or to another player I can make over 100K a week easy on one character just doing the crafting dailies and some zone dailies and looting overland mobs.

I was in a top trading guild for a long time. It dissolved as the officers found real life was getting in the way of properly running the guild. On an aside the amount of time guild leaders put into a successful trading guild is amazing. Back to the topic I decided to take a break from trading for a while when that guild dissolved.
When I decided I wanted to trade again it took me maybe 15 minutes of searching for a trade guild and applying. I was in the next morning. If the trade guilds were all full with players waiting for an open spot I would see the need for something to happen. More traders available would be my preferred fix. As I see what I know are top trading guilds advertising for new members all the time I don't think there is a problem inside the game. I understand people not wanting to join guilds but that doesn't mean there is a problem with how the game works.
