Spirit Guardian, from necromancer skills will now effectively match major protection buff?

    I will say that is doesn’t make the major buff seem “MAJOR” to me.

    Spirit was overtuned from the get go with a unique striaght % mit buff. tbh it should have always just been minor prot if anything or a form of evasion, cuz you know ghost and what not.

    It was/is. But after patch next month it will be comparably stronger then most other defencive buffs incl major protection (because it will stack with m.p)

    For sure, I agree.

    Honestly i hate how the devs have leaned into more passive gameplay rather than active. There are too many passive choices that completely overpower active choices. The one example for this would be nerfing shield sorc, which was only actively tanky at the users skill level. Where we see more passively tanky sorcs using crit surge now that is just passive tankiness.

    Another thing is how the whole racial audit was to balance out the races(which they didn't do very well) and prevent future balance issues by removing unique % based sources from racials. Then they released necro with so many strong unique % sources that perfectly fit the meta. I'm not a game designer, I'm just a mechanical engineer, but I can say for certain that something isn't quite right there.

    When Zos removed Minor Toughness from Warhorn so the only group buff for it was locked into the Warden class, was that fair?

    I mean, it didn't get any stronger than it was (which was, obviously, strong).

    And Deaden Pain users were actively nerfed.

    For sure, but when everything else is nerfed considerably, it just makes it so much more apparent how strong it actually is.

    And yet Magicka Necromancer is still bad in PvP. If the Spirit Guardian gets changed along with other changes during a class re-work, then I'm fine with that. But ZOS needs to not make the worst class even worse, just to try and take Stamina Necromancer down a peg.

    The ghost is also still bugged, as it has been since Elsweyr's PTS, and will oftentimes not actually cast its heal at all. This renders the other morph essentially worthless (imagine the outcry from Stam classes if their Vigor would randomly stop healing, potentially for extended periods of time and even after being re-cast).

    It's a Major oversight.

    But they haven't changed anything class wise yet with all the buff changes and SBE.

    Watch what you ask for when targeting necro for nerfs because that logic applies to all classes. They all have passive buffs that are now equal or greater than the nerfed minor/majors. Weapon skill lines are the same, Sets too.

    Necro Guardian = Major Protection
    Nercro DOT passives > Major Berserk, Major Protection
    Sorcerer damage Passives = Minor + Major Berserk
    Warden damage and healing Passives = Major Berserk and Major Mending
    NB Incap Damage Increase > Major Berserk
    DK 12% healing passive > Major Mending

    And so on.

    Watch them all get hammered to 3% to make the majors "feel" meaningful.

    You are making it sound as if the Spirit Guardian will match the current Major Protection when it only matches the newer, weaker version of it. And I don't really see that as a problem on a class with low mobility, no shields and no self-target heals/only heals that apply defile to yourself.
    It might still be very strong, but it's hard to tell without proper PvP activity on PTS.
    This Bosmer was tortured to death. There is nothing left to be done.

    Ehm, this is posted on the PTS forum. The pet is OP now, but its just more apparent how op it is after the buff overhauls.
