Force Overflow is almost good

Casting Force Siphon on a target within 15 meters of you causes a surge of magical energy to tether between you for 10 seconds. While the tether persists and you remain in range, you and group members in the tether restore 175 Magicka and Stamina every 1 seconds. This effect can occur once every 10 seconds.

That sounds nice, if you use Force Siphon rather than Elemental Drain, except ...

... it doesn't hit the tank.

Please add an AoE big enough to reward (and refresh) a tank who has properly turned the boss away from the rest of the group. Thank you!

Don't judge it too early. They weren't clear on what is the target cap, which can change the viability of the weapon greatly.

i dont see it being used over vdsa resto. vdsa resto capitalizes on an ability already ran by most healers and would still be ran regardless of vdsa resto. nobody has used force siphon in ages

i just wish theyd stop with the tether abilities.

I use Force Siphon. Perhaps I'm overoptimistic about tanks reliably using Pierce Armor, but I replaced Elemental Drain with Siphon Spirit on most healing builds soon after it was changed to its current form.

The issue isn't target cap; it's geometry. The top priority for resource return -- especially if both magicka and stamina are being returned -- is the tank. And the geometry of this weapon's effect excludes the tank.

the problem is ele drain will never not be provided. minor magickasteal is too good. it is in every group, which makes pierce armor useless. itll be nice next patch though.

even if youre running 1 tank 3 dps dungeons, someone will put ele drain on. usually the tank. i do on mine. because of that i leave my taunt morphed to ransack. also for 1 tank 3 dps group itsn ot very likely anyone has a resto staff equipped to run siphon spirit, so ele drain is just more convenient. and blood altar is a better source of minor lifesteal because its aoe, huge radius, and comes with a synergy for heal 60% of your health when morphed to overflowing altar

Only in Trials? Which is a small sub-section of the playstyles that you can play in ESO??

It's important not to get too tunnel-visioned too early ... especially since there are 5 iterations of PTS patch note revisions until November 2nd.

In properly tanked dungeons, a majority of bosses are turned away from the group.

Obviously, if there is no resto staff in the group, then Elemental Drain will be used instead of Siphon Spirit.

Anyhow, this is all irrelevant to the thread, since if Siphon Spirit (or for some bizarre reason the other morph) isn't used, then it really doesn't matter WHAT the resto staff that buffs Siphon Spirit does.
