Its a test for a month not just a week.

Sucks for not being able to play templar there for a whole month.

It's different tests each week. This week is the harshest, all AOE have a global cool down.

Then it's individual cool downs per skill
Then cost increase for each skill
Then a combination of the previous 2.

Granted, jabs spam is going to be bad for all of it, but maybe give it a go with a different skill?

Screw healers, right? But at least no one will use jabs.

Week 1 is the only really bad week for healer I think.
After that you can cycle through a few different heals and it'll be fine.

Yes. But Rich said if it confirms their theory, they are going to do it. They aren't doing this for funsies.

    https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/539136/update-on-cyrodiil-performance-upcoming-aoe-tests/p1

"... We will be very upfront, but please be aware that if these tests confirm our hypothesis, then chain-casting AOE abilities will no longer form the core of the ESO PvP experience in the way it has for the last few years. We would then go through each class and ensure that there are viable builds for each and make adjustments as necessary."

Are all those hours of work and testing over a year now Realy cheaper as upgrading the hamster?

I hope, when they Realy going this way, they adjust many core class skills, as it is right now some classes are near unplayable, while nightblade's getting their time of their life

Game used to play fine with the same skills, and now it doesn’t?

I don’t think skills are the problem. And the more they keep making changes, the worse things get. Have they not learned this by now?

    When was that exactly?

    omg, you people.

You literally cry constantly to "fix the lag" and "fix cyrodiil" and then the dev's start putting some serious testing in to find out what exactly is the cause of the lag and you instantly lose your minds.
They have clearly tried logging and load testing their QA servers and can't get the same performance issues so they are doing the only thing left, live testing, and you would expect the PvP community to be on board. Do whatever it takes to get to the bottom of the issue and solve it once and for all.

And yes, if that means nerfing my class, SO BE IT. You know, because smooth, fast paced dynamic gameplay is more important.

But no, instead it's instantly on to the forums to complain.

Changing the core foundation of eso combat to compensate their lag is not a good solution.

I agree with @Tannus15 People are always saying fix PvP and Cyro is broken blah blah blah. ZOS has told us FOR YEARS that they can't replicate live servers conditions on the internal servers they have so they can't fix the issues. ALSO no one tests PvP on the PTS which doesn't help either.

I assume this was a hard decision for them, the combat system is great but honestly... when prime time comes the combat system we all know and love just simply doesn't work. They are asking for our help to test some theories they have. They even added two new tests after listening to feedback.

I honestly do not like most of these "solutions" except maybe Test 3 but I will help because I love PVP and it's about time it gets fixed so crap works during Prime Time. I am tired of things not working so I want to help.

Around Morrowind, before they started tinkering with the base code by disabling 32 bit functionality.

Is it not 4 weeks. 1 test per week? 4 tests total ?

    1. Those tests are designed to test solution, so one of those will be implemented.
    2. It will be implemented because even without testing I can tell slowing down APM will improve performance.
    3. In general redesigning whole game, all classes, all skills, balancing it and so on will be a total disaster. No thank you. Just upgrade your hardware.
I'm done with this game because of ZOS pushing us into Vengeance, because they don't know how to fix Cyrodiil.
