Scrying is a no-brainer once levelled.

Not everyone has a surplus of skill points so there’s that.

Personally I’ more annoyed with how many skill points I spent between the two skill lines and that I have to level them on each toon. It’s not a fun grind for alts and even less fun if my alt picks up a lead they can’t use.

Also - my alts are short on skill points.

leads are account wide. you dont need to do scrying and excavation on every character. one exception is the seige items are bound to the alliance of the character you dig it up on

Yes, but if you want more than one character to level the skill line...for the treasure chest passive perhaps? (I have my main doing it for the achievement points, but another character "fits" being an antiquarian more for her backstory so she is also doing it, but it will take far longer since the purple guaranteed leads are once per account).

The person I responded to was worried about missing out on leads picked up by alt characters. Grinding out the skill lines multiple times is your choice.
