AOE's and 3 second delays

You let stam sorcs run around with a perma aoe.

You let Templars spam jabs.

You give us magicka necromancer, 90% of the skills are aoe.

You put sets in that make giant Saturn ring aoe's..............

You have spells like healing ward running full calculations on everyone on your faction.........

Now you wanna nerf all aoe's with 3 second cooldowns?

No, they planned only tests, and only in Cyrodiil. Also 3 seconds is test value just to see how it change things. No one says that will be pernament change and even if test will be positive - change can be implemented in completely other form.

This would be all cool and groovy, but you see the 11 pages on the rapids change?

There were dozens of pages before that change just went through anyways.

If you guys are sitting back comfortably, I dunno....

From a development perspective, it's smart to do it the way they are. I actually am surprised it's taken them this long to actually do testing this way. YES, it's frustrating that this isn't a voluntary thing BUT if it will help fix and hopefully it's an actual "FIX", then I am all for it. What the devs are struggling with is it's near impossible to find and sort out bugs in a PTS or private server instance...doing it on the LIVE server will give far more accurate results to zero in on the issues at hand, and frankly it's a very small cost for us players to pay if it corrects longstanding issues. Remember, WE are complaining about issues and the way ZoS has to go about solving them isn't always the convenient way we want. Like @Luke_Flamesword said, these are planned tests, and only in Cyrodiil, and highly unlikely to be permanent. PvP is one of the biggest strains on combat systems in ESO which has always had problems. If they get it right there, then everyone else, including PvE players will benefit. Imagine ESO without combat being so clunky and more responsive. That's the dream at least.

Lets see what ZoS can do with the tests and go from there.

100% agree it's perfectly fine to do the test on live, it's the only way they can.

It's nothing to do with that.

My issue 100% is the fact that changes seem to be made if they benefit the players or not. As seen with the recent rapids change.

You said "Imagine ESO without combat being so clunky and more responsive."

Is that what you guys picture when adding 3 second delays to things?

In what world does a 3 second delay add responsiveness and make things less clunky?

That's why I'm scared, cause people seem to take this "ZOS will test it and figure it all out" approach to things.

The problem is, no matter what we say or what our opinion is. It's quite clear that the Devs have their own idea of how the game should be and we can either be with them on that or stop playing.
You know you don't have to be here right?
Our feedback is not required and at this point PTS is probably just there for ZOS to collect data, let people practise new rotations and create hype if possible.
When ZOS isn't even listening to the people on their own class rep program, why would they listen to us?
This Bosmer was tortured to death. There is nothing left to be done.

Eh, this is completely different. You compare small change with big testing.

They don't want 3 seconds AOEs delays - they just want to see what happens with such a big delay, because with this timing this will be dramatic change and it will be give some valuable data. After testing with all this data they will be think about real solutions.

I bet after the current performance improvements schedule is done and forgotten, next year the delay times will be doubled and added to all abilities in the name of balance, meanwhile the level of lag is improved all the time slowly but surely.

They just keep putting out the same things that are lagging the servers.

3 sec delay to cure clunkiness:

The operation was a success, but the patient died.

We had to burn down the village in order to save it.
