Randomly Banned for No Reason?!

Hello everyone!
Hope everyone is having a good week. I am posting from my secondary account because my main account was randomly permanently banned. I cannot even login in on my eso account. i have been playing since I pre-ordered the Greymoor chapter, so compared to most, not that long. I have been really enjoying the game and would consider it my favorite MMO to date. I am, well was, CP 350, and did not figure out about daily dungeons and battlegrounds until around CP 140. So I was WAY behind. I found a really good community Guild and have been making good progress. I have been researching traits to become a crafter and all the fun extras of ESO. I finally got to a point where I could solo overland bosses and do normal dungeons alone for the most part. However, I have not gotten to experience trials or any real PVP because of my character level and my experience with rotations and such. I literally get on do my dailies, my pledges, and writs. Then farm nods to sell in my guild trader to buy upgrade materials and have my guild mates make me some gear since I recently finished Cadwell's gold finally.

However, yesterday I ran into a problem. I played yesterday morning, doing my writs and dailies before logging off. When I logged back in that evening after finishing school work it said my account was permanently banned! No notice, no reason, nothing. I have spent hours on these forums trying to find an answer. I do not know any glitches or exploits like I have seen others banned for, and would not even know where to start a scam. I play on Xbox 1 so I do not have any downloaded tools or whatever PC players can use. I am at a complete loss.

I have sent a ticket (#:200817-008137). I know it was just submitted yesterday and they are behind with Covid. I just really enjoy this game and I am really upset and do not know what to do. I have seen people tag @ZOS_BillE assuming that is an admin. I have not even received an email that my ticket was accepted like the one I sent to be invited to this forum (which was answered within 24 hours). I understand it is probably different people though.

Any advice on what I should do from this point would be greatly appreciated. Please Help!!

You've done most of what you can (starting a ticket, posting the ticket # here). Now it's a matter of patience.

ZOS really needs to get better at communicating issues like this. Let's assume that at some point, your ban gets overturned and you're back in the game. Since ZOS didn't tell you what you did to trigger the ban the first time, how do you avoid it again? You don't know what you did wrong and they won't tell you. You'll constantly be fearing that you could be banned at any time. ZOS, this just isn't right. I have never been banned, but lately, I fear that I might be banned and have no reason why. This is becoming a very large issue that they need to address. If you keep banning people with no explanation it creates this fear in your community that it can hit anyone, anytime for no reason whatsoever and lock them out of their account until you have time to manually come in and overturn the ban... if you even decide to do that much.

You have a game that thrives on microtransactions and are creating an environment where people know their entire account and all the money they've spent on the game can be gone instantly for no reason. That does not encourage people to spend money on a game when it could be gone in a blink.

Please, please communicate with players and tell them why they got banned, even if you have to remain vague for safety reasons. Banning players with no reason given isn't ethical. It's not right. You know this.

Agreed! If they decide to overturn I will be closely reading all agreements, which I did read, but I guess not that well.

My best advice is to remain patient with the process. While I haven’t dealt with ZoS support much until now, they have always provided great customer service when I’ve had to submit tickets in the past, even if it’s take a little while to get back to me. So, I’m sure they will help us get this resolved eventually. Expect to wait 2-3 weeks before a response, it’s day #23 for me and I’ve only been told that my ticket is with the correct team.
Also, only submit 1 ticket as submitting more will reset your spot in the queue.

It has been tough for me throughout this time due to the therapeutic value this game provides for me from a social aspect. I’ve been working diligently to stay in a positive mindset while this is investigated...but it is hard. As long as you are truthful and treat customer service with respect, I would imagine they’d be more willing to help you get this resolved. Best of luck with your return to Tamriel!

I get that 100%. It has only been 2 days for me and I naturally turn my Xbox to be quickly disappointed in the mornings. Luckily I added some guildies on Xbox so I still have some form of communication of what's is going on and will still have a spot when this gets sorted. They will do us right.

    Greetings,

We've closed this thread given its age and that it was an account issue back in 2020. If you wish to continue discussing this topic please create a new thread. Thank you for your understanding.
