C.O.D. Crown items

Do you think ESO needs C.O.D. option for items from the crown store, so scamming can be prevented?

If they're going to officially recognise that the gifting system is used to trade crowns for gold I'd prefer them to go the whole way and actually put in an exchange system.

Guild Wars 2 does it and I assume other games do, but don't know how it works as I don't play them. In that game the exchange rates are based on demand - if lots of people exchange gold for cash shop currency it gets more expensive to do it that waybut cheaper to buy gold with cash shop currency and vice versa. There's also a transaction fee each time which makes it impractical to just flip currencies, it's possible to make a profit long-term but you need to get the maths right and you could be waiting weeks or months for it to be profitable.

The difference to the system ESO currently has is because it's done through the store interfact and it's anonymous there's no way to scam someone, you don't buy a specific person's crowns or sell them an item, you just exchange them with a pool of available resources.

ZOS does not care "who" pays as long as some one does.

C.O.D., tokens, any sort of system build into the game to facilitate the exchange. Since the practice has be green lighted by ZOS, I think it should also be supported by them as well. Would removed issues for players and support alike, as well as maintain or increase revenue based on Crowns purchased with the intent of selling for gold. Win, win.

I say put all crown store items that do not have a purchase requirement in rune boxes. They could be gifted, sold in chat or through the guild traders. The items in the rune boxes could be bound upon opening.

I also would not have a problem with an official exchange that would allow me to buy crowns from ZOS for in-game gold, AP, telvar or transmute crystals.

How would trading crowns matter to them? Somebody still has to buy them.

Crown Exchange would be better, as it doesn't subject you to the opportunities of the moment. Plenty of other games do it, it's not difficult to make one. At least it shouldn't be difficult lol. Knowing ZOS though, it'd never wai.

To expand on this ideasince it's a really good one, ZOS could even go so far as to sell empty rune boxes that could be loaded with one crown store item, and as long as the box isn't open, it's trade-able. The boxes could be sold for like 100-500 crowns, that way ZOS is incentivized to do it, and it would be very hard to make money just trading currency back and forth.

They could even add crowns auction house, like the one they had/have in Perfect World International. The point is for players to have some sort of defense against scammers, and not having to rely on investigations from ZOS after the abuse has already happened.

They explicitly/intentionally allow it now. They should make it safer.

I think that as long as it's not against TOS, they should provide some means to make the transactions safe for players. They always complain that customer service is backlogged. I wonder how much of that is from "I got scammed for crowns/gold"?
