Looking at the history of the golden it would appear that Slimecraw Shoulders have not been present since June of 2019 is the an oversight?
@JessicaFolsom @GinaBruno
I know they are available via the undaunted keys but that is really very random.
My wife got Slimecraw Shoulders in medium with her fist 5 keys which is what we want for our builds, myself I have used 55 and no joy, would be nice to think that there is also a chance to get it from the Golden at a weekend as well.

If you used 55 keys you should have bought the coffer that drops only 2 shoulders, one being slimecraw. 11 tries you would have definitely gotten a slimecraw. Good chance of a medium one too.

11 5-key coffers gives an 86.5% chance of getting medium slimecraw.
55 1-key coffers gives a 78.8% chance of getting medium slimecraw.

Yes I did use the 5 key coffer and from my 55 keys used I got 4 Light Slimecraw shoulders.
I have used about 120 keys and got bunch of heavy and light slimecraw but none medium. Rng hates me.

I'm curious how you came to that conclusion. Per attempt your chance is 1/41 (2.4%) to get the shoulders in the weight you want (ignoring trait because xmute). It's doesn't get better the more times you try.

The probability of getting a particular set and weight from a (non-DLC) 1-key coffer is 1/36 (I don't know where you got 1/41). Therefore the probability of not getting it is 35/36. The probability of not getting it twice in a row is then (35/36)*(35/36), which generalizes to (35/36)^n for n coffers. Then, the probability of getting what you actually want is 1 minus the probability of not getting it.
So, the final calculations are...
For 55 1-key coffers: p = 1-(35/36)^55 = 0.788
For 11 5-key coffers: p = 1-(5/6)^11 = 0.865
In my opinion, you're almost always better off buying 1-key coffers for base game shoulders unless you're absolutely certain you'll never need any other sets from that vendor.
Things are a little different for sets from Urgarlag because she has 16 sets (and growing) instead of 12, so you have to replace the 35/36 with 47/48, while the 5/6 for the 5-key coffer stays the same.

36 doesn't account for all traits, only weight and set, 41 is with trait. I get that trait has no bearing in this conversation as only medium was the requirement. Thanks for clearing that up.

41 does not account for trait. With trait it would be 288.

Yeah, I get that, my math was possibly borked in the other thread. 😂 (not sure if you looked at the link)
