Look ZOS, with these big name streamers, they are going to stick around only if you have some decent PVP content. This is huge for you. Don't blow it.

Why should we care what "big name streamers" gonna say? People should start thinking for themselves.

PVP in ESO is almost perfect, gameplay wise and wont give a damn what those "streamers" are gonna say, they aint changing my mind. It's only performance that ruins it.

Idk why people hate streamers so much. If there's a streamer I watch, and they look like they are having fun in a game. I am more likely to buy the game. Conversely if they think the game is hot garbage then I will be more likely to dismiss it.
    PvP needs more love.

Good point. Streamers like Ninja and Dakotaz made Fortnite practically a household name.

When high view count streamers play ESO they get followed around getting hundreds of hand outs which puts them off the game by taking away the fun of leveling and earning things for yourself.

ESO doesn't have any big name streamers.

And as for PvP, this sort of PvP is not popular on Twitch, because as far as skilled, competitive PvP goes its a joke.

Look, if it gets PVP performance fixed, I'm all for it. But if performance doesn't get fixed, there's no type of PVP content that will be decent.

In ESO content creators already tell a lot of players how to act (skills) how to dress (gear) what to eat (food/potions). When the game is designed around power fantasy and play-YOUR-way.

Erm, no? Putting out builds is not the same as telling people what to do.
A lot of people don't want to do the legwork for putting together builds, so they follow content creators to know what works.
This is the same for my other favorite game, Path of. Exile, where it's even prevalent.
If you don't want to play the same build as a content creator, then don't.
For.me the biggest fun in this game is theory crafting to see what works what doesn't.
While I'm not a content creator myself, I often share my builds with people who ask, that doesn't mean they're forced to play the way I do.
Not related to your post but someone mentioned handouts, summit actually refused pretty much all handouts, Beacuse he wants to live the new player experience.

Well I for one am glad these streamers come down and spend some time with us common ESO folk. I’m blessed merely by their presence. I hope ZOS change all their plans for these god like players, these pied pipers of men, these beacons of gaming brilliance. We may never see their like again.

If you would watch Summit play the game you'd see all the trades and mails with attachments he rejects. His philosophy is that he wants to earn everything in the game by himself. Not all streamers are the same.

For the same reason celebrity culture is inexplicable to me and others. I couldn’t care less what a famous person says.

Its rly good that big streamers start playing eso but problem is when they experiance tons of lags, connection issue, bugs or even that content pve is just a joke it will make bad marketing for eso where there are 10k or more viewers.

Also incoming boost crates by zos with radiants apex mounts for summit and shroud to promote buying crates :D (im sure zos will do it XD)

Virtually nobody I know watches streamers, and the only couple I've ever watched are because they are friends.

ESO did have a handful of big name streamers; people who make a good living off sponsored streaming. Every one I know of has left due to performance issues.

Yeah but you said you've only known a couple? There are tons of people making a good living off of streaming this game. I say that as a person who watches twitch adamantly.

Edit: and I dont even watch ESO as much as other games.

they've all played other MMOs and games. They understand that online games lag. Their expectations are much more reigned in compared to the average forum poster here.

I was speaking to exclusive ESO streamers. They essentially don't exist anymore. The couple I knew left over a year ago due to performance issues. I have a hard time watching other people play games when I could be playing myself instead.

A lot of people have narrow minds it seems. Streaming is marketing and why ZOS has a stream team. And ones playing on their own free will is opportunity when they have lots of viewers. Especially when their viewers came from a competing MMO. Streaming is big business which is why you have Twitch, Amazon, and YouTube all fighting for the top streamers. To ignore that because "I dont watch them," "I dont know anyone doing it," or "they don't tell me what to do" is very obtuse

Then let ZOS and its marketing team care about it. Why should we? In particular because I highly doubt what what ZOS would do to cater to those players will also cater to me.

I've read this a few times and it confuses me. Are you somehow under the impression that ZoS isn't doing all they can to improve PvP? Maybe all the developers were twiddling their thumbs then one notices new streamers and they all think oh #$^% we better get busy?
The PvP content is fine. Performance needs work. New PvP content would only thin out what is already a low population of players in PvP world.

Look at the trend over the past 2 years. Is performance getting better or worse? Have you seen any indications of fundamental changes that might influence that overall trend?

Exactly. It's kinda hard to have a decent stream if it's just a video of micro or not so micro load screens, running through cyro because of the stuck in combat bug, and lag so bad what people are watching is 3 minutes after it actually happened.

Can we get the MYM event servers back please? PLEASE?!
