Relequen could be replaced with Morkuldin as practise set. It doesn't do quite as much damage, but is a lot easier to keep up for people that are still learning light attack weaving.
Next patch there are many proc sets losing their proc chance. Meaning those sets will proc on cooldown just by having a damage over time effect on the enemy, so with minimal
player input. Sets like way of fire, red mountain or unfathomable darkness deal nice damage and will proc automatically/easely.
For monsterset maw of infernal is one of the best sets, so have a look at it.
Since sets would do damage might be better for beginners?
Depends on what content are we talking about.
In group content, quite possibly, yes.
But in solo content, depending on the class and content, it might be viable (or preferred, even) to use a healing or a combined damage/healing set - so that you can focus more on dealing damage and/or interacting with boss mechanics, instead of having to constantly micromanage your HP bar in high pressure situations.
Bahraha's Curse is one good example of such a set, it both deals AoE damage and heals you for the damage done - and it has no limit on the amount of procs active at any one time, which makes it quite strong when dealing with hordes of enemies.
I haven't tested it on the PTS yet, but if its proc chance is removed then it would become a very solid set for soloing difficult content (not that it's by any measure bad on Live, though!).
Having said that, a good damage proc set with a convenient proc condition can also be very useful for soloing harder content, especially if combined with a healing or buffing proc set.
