Amount of golden crafting materials for 1-handed weapons?

Since they have changed 2-handed weapons to count as 2 set pieces, what was a great and logical decision, I wonder why you still have to use the same amount of golden materials to upgrade them. Wouldn't it be fairer, if 1-handed weapons only need half of the golden materials to upgrade them?

Only if you halved the amount of vouchers awarded for one-handed master writs to account for the lowered cost.

    1h wep are 1p of a set
    2h wep are 2p of a set

1h wep enchant are half as powerful as 2h
2h wep enchant are twice as powerfull as 1h

Both cost the same mat to upgrade

    That would be fine

Honestly that wouldn't make any sense. Each individual item requires the same amount of tempers, regardless of how many pieces it counts towards in a set. Staffs and Bows also count as 2H weapons in terms of sets and also still require the same amount of tempers to improve, because how many set pieces they count towards has no bearing on an individual item's quality.

That is, actually, the opposite. The basic amount of materials for upgrade of 1-handed items is the same as for 1 piece of armor. Do you want 2-handed weapons require two times more materials for each upgrade?

I concur. Since two handed are two pieces, the logical thing to do would be to double the amount of upgrading mats.
Maybe you shouldn't have asked that question :D

Let's just not factor in logistics into upgrading or we will end up needing 8 mats for gloves/belts/shoes 10 for shoulders/helmets and 12 for chests/legs "because they are bigger".

It's only a minor inconvenience of an extra 40k or so gold for dual wielding it's really not that much gold to people who are min-maxing golden items like that.

Technically if you wanna go down that slope then the logical thing would be for 2h weapons to require twice as many mats as they do now (since 8 is the default number for 1 piece, judging by armor, and 2h are, as you correctly pointed out, 2 pieces). So let's not go down that slope :p
