They do serve a purpose for raising and lowering your vampire stage, but things like this won't be priced for everyone. They are luxury items for the rich (or game rich with crown exchange).

Why shouldn't they have a more realistic price?

So, if I bought these, would anyone who has access to my house be able to use them also?

That's relative. I bought them instantly as I found the price through crown exchange to be an absolute steal for functional housing items for my guild house.

As mentioned, not everyone will feel the same.

I think vampire and werewolf cures in the store are an absolute ripoff. I can't understand why anyone would knowingly buy them when there is an ingame equivalent available for about 700g, but still ZOS insists on having it there.

You're welcome to feel the price is too high. Just understand that not everyone will feel the same way about everything and ZOS is counting on it.

Even worse is that the thrall looks a lot like Abnur Tharn. Is that what has happened to him? :#

Leave it to them to rework vampire skill line with a flawed mechanic which can only be alleviated by a cash shop bundle purchase for 4000 clowns.

Just use the foods to lower or raise you vamp stage. If you take into consideration the cost of 4000 crowns you realize its nearing the same price as an expansion upgrade or a dlc which really emphasizes how over priced it is. Similar to 400-500 gem mounts which would require a 21000 gem pack to buy enough crates to get the gems for. But just like in real life if noone buys it then they will go on sale.

I was saving my crowns to buy this when it came out. For what it was I imagined it costing around 1,500 crowns or 2,000 crowns and had that much on hand, but I was not prepared for that 4k price tag. Guess I'll visit my friend's house since there is little chance I'll spend that much money for two furnishing items that only serve one purpose each. Like for example each 30 item storage chest is worth 1,000 crowns, and that is comparable (At least in my eyes) to the value of being able to raise or lower your stage at will.

ZOS keeps putting out inflated prices for all convenience furnishings because they still want people to go to town instead of spending all of their time in their homes.
That's why bankers, merchants, mundus stones and crafting stations are so very expensive.

No. You could always go to a guildie's house. So this really doesn't make towns more populated. Also, statues aren't exactly cheap, neither. And they sure serve no function.

It's also a target dummy, I don't know what its HP is but to get the vamp stuff and a target dummy compared to the price of a stand alone dummy it isn't bad... That's if it has at least a mil HP....

HP is the same as the Precurssor target dummy. Its not a whole lot and after a few rotations you'll kill it. I use dummies with such low health generally for testing PVP burst rotations since you won't get a good gauge for dungeons and trials on it.

The market determine what is a realistic price. Since prices are staying strong it seems the high prices are very realistic.

Well I got it, it is an invaluable item to being a Vampire, sure it looks expensive and someone had to pay 4000 crowns for it but as for me, at the end of the day I only needed to part with a small sum of my total gold to get it which I can make back by next week if I wanted to, remember that if you do not have enough crowns then do not be afraid to ask about, there are plenty of wealthier players out there who would be happy to sell you this item for ingame gold.

As for the usefulness of the item, think about this for a moment, not only do I not need to consume Bloody Mara's but my fellow Vampires who visit can use them as well which comes in handy, it also looks cool and now i have something to occupy my dungeon and a fancy new fountain in the courtyard, my only gripe is that the Thrall is an ugly old guy who looks way too much like Abnur Tharn, my Vampire would of preferred one less ugly and I do agree that the pack could of used a couple more items for it's price, maybe a cool looking luxury coffin thrown in would help seal the deal?

It didn't need any extra items. Your purchase proves that beyond doubt. Whether you got those crowns from elsewhere for a pittance makes zero difference. The accounts won't show whether you yourself paid 400g, 400k gold etc, it will show someone somewhere paid a high premium for 2 items.

Wow, the size of that thing. :D Even if i did have more money than sense and only having bought Ebonheart Chateau, it would have been completely useless considering the space required to place it. I wonder how many people will buy this only to find out they lack the space to actually place it.

Pre-Greymoor I had 3 vamp NBs and I was looking forward to getting this fountain/thrall combo on release day — I was pretty disappointed that it was not for sale in the crown store. As it turns out, that was a very good thing for me because after a few weeks of trying to make vampirism work for me, I gave up on it and just wound up curing all of my vamps.

So it worked out pretty well I guess, the new vampirism line is complete garbage and I'm glad to be rid of it.

4000 crowns for two ugly-looking items that do nothing but circumvent an annoying mechanic ZOS themselves designed into the game is too much. This is so typical. Implement a problem, then sell the solution for a hefty price. Just like in Fallout 76 or Black Desert.
Cadwell's portal was worth its price. This is not.
And for the masterminds who think they're clever buying it with gold: It doesn't matter. SOMEONE bought this thing with crowns. Whether you or a whale, ZOS still get the money in the end.
It leaves a bitter taste in my mouth coming with the Player Appreciation thing. Not much of a freebie if you get your money from the overpriced vampire pack. And not much of an appreciation if you milk us so blatantly.

If you feel the price is too high don’t buy it, simple. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I mean, it is a small convenience that you can accomplish in game with very little effort....

For myself the fountain was not elegant enough. Certainly not for 4K crowns.

Prices are out of hand for a long time:

    4K for a basin and a zombie? 4K for statues? 5K for a motif style? 15K for a house?

I, as many others, would spend more crowns if the items prices were a LOT more reasonable.

This approach doesn't really help anyone now, does it? It doesn't help us because it means missing out. And it doesn't help ZOS because they can't increase sales by improving.

Even if you are 'game rich' as some people say, and even if you buy it with gold...

Based on my platform's exchange rates, do you know how many Bloody Maras you can buy with 4000C/1,000,000g??? Even if you buy all your drinks (rather than crafting them which is much cheaper), you'd have to use the drinks every single hour 24/7 and you'll still have enough for 416 days. That's when the furnishing Bundle will break even in price  And the drinks give you stat bonuses too...

In the past they changed vampirism to make it more mechanically attractive to players. Now it's even more profitable to the company under the current mechanics. When are crown store Mara drinks coming?

New chapter centers around vampirism, maybe make these things earnable rewards? No, Greymoor is the weakest chapter to date, so they must need this cash injection to make up the difference. I mean, this pack is as expensive as a chapter isn't it?
