Are Hircine and Worm still useful?

After their 5p bonuses got changed to 145 Mag/Stam recovery, are these sets still useful? Did anyone test that?

I haven't seen someone use hircine's in a LONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNG time, and worm in a slightly less LONNNNNNNNG time.

but to answer your question my mag recovery in raid is usually less than 700 I don't remember how much it gave percent wise it was like.. 4 or.. 8 or something but basically less than 70 mag recovery, so it would now give me double. So I would say.. it's better than it was for me specifically.

    I gave my Templar healer:

    Hollow Fang
    Kynes Wind
    Symphony of Blades
    Masters Resto

If a second healer was rocking Worm Cult, i'd want them to equip something else. I got the resources covered in spades.

Yeah but the question is it still useful, and the answer would be more useful, but other things are better namely what you said.

Both sets reduced the cost of Mag/Stam abilities by 4%

Indeed. As a Pre-Raid set, it is great. Worm Cult + SPC is still very strong on a new healer.

4% reduced cost isn't really that great when your recovery still hardly gives you back any resources. Many DD's sit around 700-800 Recovery these days, so getting that to almost 1,000 recovery is going to be better than a 4% reduction in ability cost. Especially when the costs are already low.

Example: Ability costs 2,000 Magicka. 4% reduction brings it down to 1920. It isn't that large of a reduction. Granted, more expensive abilities would be more affected by the percentage reduction.

They are probably more useful now because recovery gets affected by all sorts of buffs. Minor and Major Endurance/Intellect, Champion points, other passives. That'll probably make it more useful than cost reduction.
Tanks are the only ones suffering from the change to Hircine's because stamina recovery is set to zero when blocking.

Ohhh.. it's been a long time since I saw those sets, was it ever recovery? Hmm.. my bad.

I agree that recovery is better than 4% cost.

Dont calculate skill cost reductions with skill costs. In long term, it is useless. 0.04 x your total mag consumption / parse time = true bonus of worm cult. In order to compare it to regen, double the nuber because this calculation calculate persecond, regen ticks per 2 second.

I think gliam is anerd and he made this calculations and he made a balanced new set.

They are both slightly better than before in a trial scenario.
