Ever since animation cancelling was discovered this was possible. Its stupid, but we learned how to live with it.
I never liked animation cancelling. You cant possibly counter something you can't see.
And i doubt they will fix it

Why is everyone pretending that they'd be able to dodge abilities like Neo from the matrix? This whole "if only I was able to see the animation I could counter anything" claim is blatantly wrong. Even if you saw the animation, you'd have a couple dozen milliseconds to react, with high enough lag you won't even see the ability before you get hit by it.
The average reaction time of a human is like 250 ms, unless you've been injected with Captain America serum you're not going to dodge that execute, even if you see it coming. What you can do is predict an opponents next move.
All animation cancelling does is make combat look and feel more fluid and dynamic.

So what. Its alright by you? Some people can't dodge projectiles with travel time over two seconds at maximum distance.
Even if it is so quick, you at least know what hits you. With no animation you can see it only on death recap, which is too late.
I would rather know what hits me. And there is little difference between 450MS cast time on ultimates and 250ms as reaction time (humans, rested). Still some people have problem with it too (i am also sure that full animation of reverse slice is much longer than 250ms. I never tried to measure it but i guess its around 500-700ms - which can be dodged)
Its same thing, just from different side. Enjoy your ultimate cast times.
