Would it be too much to ask that you reallocate the mitigation buff from grim focus to a skill not associated with assasination.
The bonus healing from this skill along with the improved swallow soul is a step in the right direction, but there Re infact nightblade builds that have little interest in engaging with shadowy disguise. Stripping NBs of 10 percent damage reduction hurts non stealth based NB builds, especially magNBs. Was this bonus mitigation seriously a balance concern? Even giving some form of it to blur would help.
If you seriously want all NBs to lean into glass cannons then perhaps you should reconsider the various skills that nb has that actively emphasize remaining in combat and being active, thing alike...
Siphoner passive requiring 4 second siphon skill to engage with this passive. You arent recasting siphing strikes or cripple this frequently, so that leaves sap, strife and offering, all skills that run contrary to stealth based builds.
You want more durable nbs to engage with shadow passives for major armor buffs but make the key enabler, dark cloak, prohibitively expensive for heavy armor stamblades and magblades need to invest a generous amount of health to gain meaningful benefits from this, and doing so nueters their attrition ability since swallow soul on a 29+k magblade is not going to keep them afloat.
Magblades in particular are currently forced into a glass cannon item set enabled gank approach since anything else results in them being a poverty magsorc. Let them return to their once original unqiue strength of enduring in pvp via floating hots and hybrid / healing tools like swallow souls minor vit attachment and refreshing path having a damage component however slight. Taking away 10 percent damage mitigation and giving a boost to critical healing and a more potent swallow soul is still not enough of a fair trade in light of the battle spirit healing nerfs that have negatively effected magblades moreso than most other magicka classes in the game.
