After reading the patch notes, I've noticed large amounts of unusual and/or alarming changes - and I'd love to know the developer reasoning behind some of those:
1. A lot of inconsequential (+/- 1% or even less) value adjustments on sets and abilities. Why bother?
2. Some underperforming sets received adjustments to make them less underperforming - but in many of those cases, the adjustment was too small to matter.
Does this mean that those sets will continue to be monitored for their actual combat effectiveness and possibly receive further adjustments in future updates?
3. As expected, there are some pretty insane looking buffs in there - such as the 300% buff to Torug's, to name one example. Also, a lot of other values got changed by 50...100% (or more!) - are you
really sure that such wild swings are a good idea in general? (the former DoT meta says hi!)
4. The adjustments to some of the armor traits are.... baffling, to say the least:
- Divines got a major buff... uhh, OK? Not like it really needed one.
- Another massive nerf to Impenetrable. I suppose that we are meant to run all Divines in PvP now? Uhh... really?
- Nirnhoned was already a rather niche trait (on armor), and now it is nerfed even further? Why?
5. A lot of proc sets were buffed by removing the proc chances, with some of them also further buffed by increasing their effect potency and/or reducing the cooldown.
This looks like it will be "fun" (not!) in no-CP PvP, where proc sets are already arguably overperforming on Live.
