llambris isnt even the best of the base sets, and in general the ease or difficulty with which one acquires a monster set doesn't have much bearing on it's viability or effectiveness as you can simply buy most of them from the golden vendor in Cyrodiil on rotation :)

And to illustrate the point, there are several craftable armour sets that are at least as, if not more powerful than those found in hardcore DLC or trial dungeons. Even masters weapons which can be very powerful, especially in PVP, are dead easy to get now.

I totally agree difficulty of content doesn't equal quality of gear, which is a shame because content should provide a progression ladder to that effect. It makes sense that it should. Like I said, it's how I believe gearing should work. As for mag damage monster sets, really it's more situational than either of us has mentioned; if the fight doesn't allow for zaan (for example) to get full ticks because it's mobile, you'll want a swap out set to maximize your damage. In such scenarios you might want to slot skoria if you're keeping range, ilambris when you know there'll be static opportunity, grothdarr if there is a lot of mob/add activity. Or simply 1pc of 2 sets with crit for less proc rng. That's the point here, options. You need options and situational choices. Many of the base game sets have a niche, and even the better sets are not optimal in every scenario. I guess we can agree to disagree on that. Either way, I still don't feel the set needs a buff. Other than to remove proc chance or cool down, what would that even be? Damage increase? Seriously, its fine in the state it is, and if you or I don't think it is, we have plenty of other options and easy to gain alternatives like you say.

Since the iceheart nerf we dont really have any ice centric damage monster set anymore... adding frost damage to Ilambris that already has fire and lightning anyway would be a really easy fix for that and awesome for ice/frost centric themed builds like wardens...

You they woulsd need to add a 3rd brother that use ice as illambriss twin currently use fire and lightning respectively

It's not about options because llambris isn't a situational set - there are several other monster sets that pretty much do what llambis does, but does it better.

Also llambris doesn't have a unique 1 piece item bonus for pairing - the bonus is only +Magicka which quite a few other sets have as well.

Sure, llambris is good to have in regular content and that's fine, even though there are better selections to choose from now, but I'm afraid that whichever way you look at it, there's no getting away from the fact that llambris is an inferior set in comparison to many others in its current iteration.

    Yes, please.
Ice mages are so weak it's laughable. They've never cared anything about letting people create ice mages, though.

Having looked at this from several angles, and tried it out on magDK, and seen T3hAsianGod's experimentation with the set as per the video I linked in a previous post, I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on that point. It's perfectly fine to have a difference of opinion and experience aspects of the game differently. Although I don't entirely agree with what you're saying and feel it's something of a misrepresentation of the 'facts', it's been interesting to read your perspective however narrow I may personally feel it is.
